Bobby Jindal demands more information on Syrian refugees placed in Louisiana

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal demanded Saturday that the Obama administration keep him informed on the Syrian refugees that are being placed in his home state, saying he is erring on the side of caution following the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Mr. Jindal, a 2016 GOP presidential candidate, sent a letter to President Obama urging him to “pause” the entire relocation effort until more is known about the attacks that left more than 120 people dead. He also questioned the level of screening the refugees are undergoing and whether they will be monitored moving forward — pointing out that one of the attackers reportedly was a Syrian refugee.

“As Americans, we embolden freedom and opportunity to the rest of the world, but by opening up our borders and refusing to collaborate or share information with states, you are threatening that reality,” Mr. Jindal wrote.

45 percent of Americans “support the job Obama is doing as President.” In a “democrat” land, that’s a big majority.

A day late and a dollar short.

Shouldn’t he have refused to allow them entry?

10,000 is a LOT of people. Hard for that to happen unnoticed.

When the American people hear “fundamentally change America”, they think it means more money in their own meager coffers.

When there is water in the floor, you don’t just grab the mop, you look for the leak that is causing it and shut off the flow. MONEY is paying for them coming here. In Lousiana, It is coming from Catholic Charities, which receive federal grants from U.S. Department of State/Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration. First, the House needs to DEFUND that “bureau” immediately. Second...Catholics who love this country need to stop the do-gooders in their midst. What is wrong with a country that funds a sworn enemy, what us wrong with a religeon that turns its cup heel do it can be shot in the face? We are at war, and we sleep on.

Asking to be “kept informed” isn’t protecting the people of Louisiana. Now maybe he knows why he’s tied for last.

The demons are at the door.

Herbert Hoover said c. 1920 "the wolf is at the door of the world" regarding the popular international communist movement. Not any different than now; and these communists are popular worldwide. People yearn for socialism, which they think will make things "fair".

You should help Jindal make a stand against the dualism of Islam. The left love political Islam because it exerts power & control of people.

Bobby just can’t cut the mustard, and he will hand over his office in January to a Democrat, unless the pre-election polls are wrong.

Not quite, the “babies” in college have federal aid and the might of the U.S. government behind them.

I am uninformed about Catholic Charities, but you make a compelling argument of how organized charities often hurt more than they help. The American people would never catch on though.

If babies in our communist schools can throw a fit and get attention, we the people can do it, do it right and assert righteous anger, no compromise we are in charge we are responsible to protect, defend and preserve our Constitutional Free Republic.

Unfortunately an ever larger percentage of FReepers are declaring that the constitution doesn't matter.

Refugee intake is increasing annually it seems. 2014 it was 60,000, 2015 is 70,000
and 2016 is 85,000 and then 100,000 in 2017.

snip
“This kind of piecemeal, incremental approach is simply not enough to effectively address
this crisis,” said Eleanor Acer, director of the refugee protection program at Human Rights
First, an advocacy group that has been pressing the United States to take 100,000 Syrians alone
next year. “This minimal increase for next year is certainly not a strong response to
the largest refugee crisis since World War II.”

Charter a bunch of planes and fly them to DC, put them on buses and drive them to the WH and let them out.

https://refugeeresettlementwatch.wordpress.com/2015/11/06/catholic-charities-begins-resettling-syrian-muslims-in-louisiana/

( “Catholic Charities begins resettling Syrian Muslims in Louisiana - November 6, 2015

Remember we learned that 97% of the Syrians entering the US so far are Sunni Muslims. Heretofore, Louisiana has not been a top resettlement target (but the feds and Catholic Charities are always out scouting for new territory!).

From WWL.com News:
Refugees migrating from Syria and Afghanistan have begun to arrive in the New Orleans area.

Catholic Charities, which is part of the Archdiocese of New Orleans has taken in two Syrian refugee families and is expecting many more.

There are approximately 180 cities in the country that are eligible to accept some 10,000 Syrian refugees. In Louisiana, those cities include Metairie, Baton Rouge and Lafayette.

The Syrian refugees are first flown to the United States, with the State Department paying the International Organization for Migration for the airfare.

Once the refugees arrive in the country, they receive assistance in settling and finding employment in the area.

It’s believed the FBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Force will run the incoming refugees through a Terrorist Screening Center.

Catholic Charities has targeted services for helping refugees, and has received a federal grant from the U.S. Department of State/Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration to assist the newcomers.” )
