In the Reuters/Ipsos 5-day tracking poll that samples 534 Republicans, over the last week, Donald Trump has surged to a massive national lead in the GOP presidential primary. Currently, the billionaire businessman sits at 42% with likely Republican primary voters. His closest competitor is Ben Carson, who sits at just below 25%.
Last week both men were pretty much tied up at around 25%. That is a 17 point surge for Trump.
Among all Republicans, Trumps enjoys a 34% to 20% lead over Carson.
Reuters adds that this “is also bad news for Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who is widely considered to be emerging as the establishment-backed alternative to Trump.”
Rubio remains stuck at 10%.

Trump was right!!
Go, Trump, GO!!
Reuters need to poll about twice this population to have a credible survey.
I listened to him after the debate. I was in the car and couldn’t find any other talk radio. All he did was bash Trump! I went to another station for awhile- a couple of times- and when I checked back he was still ranting! I know why I quit listening again
What I really hate about Beck, and the list is long, is that the three hosts (I guess it takes three to keep a conversation moving), never, ever, EVER disagree about anything. How is that possible?
Uhm, NO. No way, no how, never.
Because the other two would be fired if they did ?
I probably find Glenn and gang the most humorous of any of the talkshows. They do get some pretty good one liners and comical ideas in. But they go off the deep and more often than not, especially over Trump. He has an irrational hatred towards him, like many posters here :-(
Go Trump!
But on Trump, he is unhinged. He praises Rubio, but continually attacks Trump. The only serious reason that I can see is that Trump refuses to kiss his ring (appear on his show under his conditions).
Beck has had real insight and talent, but Trump unhinges him.
It has gotten so that when I hear Beck, I just turn off the radio.
Humorous how the Trumpettes (and Trump himself) are so enamored by the polls, constantly boasting about them, believe absolutely everything about them, EXCEPT FOR the head-to-head against Clinton polls, in which he is a complete disaster (to use a favorite Trump descriptor). In fact, Trump’s a total disaster against feeble old man Bernie.
Head-to-Head against Democrats, I think he’s somewhere between Pataki and Gilmore, but I can’t read that far down the page. anyway, he’s way down on the basement floor.
“After Paris Trump is easily at 50% within a few days.”
It’s interesting how many of my non-conservative, non-Republican, non-political friends are expressing that sentiment. Of course, we would have to factor in the “move on” ADD mentality.
How long did it take after 9/11 for everyone to get back in their corners and come out fighting? 5 weeks? And I think the first one to do it pubicly was none other than Hillary Rodham Clinton.
So what?
I mean, seriously, so what? When you have only one candidate who’s going to do the right thing to protect the country, it doesn’t matter whether he’s polling 70% or 25%. You have to support him ‘cause the others are pretty much the same as Hillary.
The Trump Stump blog is now sending out the message that Cruz is stealing all Trump’s points. Wow. Somebody agrees with me. I don’t work for them but I wish I did.
It's true. It's true.
Trump knows what he’s doing. Even Savage can be wrong when it comes to Trump.
Not a bad choice. It doesn’t feel perfect to me, but I like it.
