Dale Brigham, a nutrition professor at the University of Missouri, implored his students not to cave in to “bullies†when he said an exam scheduled for today would proceed.
He was apparently talking about the fear among black students owing to threats posted on Yik Yak yesterday.
Brigham’s alleged indifference to his students’ fears led them to savage him on social media, some in incredibly crude terms, and now Brigham has resigned, he confirmed to local station KOMU:
“I am just trying to do what I think is best for our students and the university as an institution,†Brigham said to KOMU 8 News. “If my leaders think that my leaving would help, I am all for it. I made a mistake, and I do not want to cause further harm.â€
Just to be clear, Mizzou did not cancel classes campuswide – professors made that call for their own classes.
“War of the Worlds” 2015, where Twitter and Instagram spread panic about thin air.
Then again, the special snowflakes got out of their exam, didn’t they.
Do they attend other classes? Did they today? Were there assignments due? Quizzes? Tests to take?
Do these people actual attend class or hole up in some closet?
Give me something you would like to bet on..!
How can he be so insensitive?!
Everyone should get a free pass on the exam, especially if they’re black.

Nutrition professor? That sounds about as worthless as Basket Weaving 101. I bet all the athletes are enrolled in that class.
And guess what - it's not as anonymous as you think.
I DEFINITELY won’t be sending one of my kids there. Or ANYWHERE this sh!t breaks out. I don’t care if they even get full Presidential scholarships to those places.

I am thing the professor has a very nice pension coming so decided not to put up with these phonies.
Unfortunately, these days you have to take threats seriously. That goes doubly for groups that have already shown a propensity for physical threats, backed up by rogue faculty.
That is not what I thought you meant.....
This is the equivalent of “hearsay”, but a woman from St. Louis called Rush today and said that her daughter, who attended Mizzou, had come home because there were rumors of threats against sororities (white privileged kids was the reason for the threat) and she was in one.
One by one, all the reasons for the unrest are proving to be fabrications. So once again, the seriousness of the charges were acted on, not factual truth. Duke lacrosse team all over again.
