Mob hitman who says he was the man on the grassy knoll and killed JFK to be released - and he still insists he did it
A man who claims he assassinated President John F. Kennedy has been moved this week from a high security jail to a less secure one in Illinois in preparation for his release next spring after 36 years behind bars.
James Files, 72, says that he was the man on the grassy knoll back on November 22, 1963, and that he fired the bullet into Kennedy's head that ultimately killed him.
Now, the CIA and other US secret agencies are preparing for scores of conspiracy theories as Files identifies himself yet again as the missing piece of the Kennedy story.

Google finally explained to me why Levon showed up on this thread. Had me mightily confused for a second.
If you haven’t seen that movie The Shooter. Do so.
The rifles the Italian Army team uses have match grade barrels and are finely tuned by an expert armorer. That is not the rifle that Oswald had. Again, nice try, but strike two. Would you like to try for strike three?
The Carcano was not among the best military rifles ever made but it was totally capable of doing the job. It had some odd features such as gain twist rifling and the Mannlicher type clip loading but again it was about as accurate as any.
That would account for the splat factor.
18 ...19 ? year old hitman ???
I still believe Operation 40/Mongoose turned their guns inward
I think it’s still very relevant. I was 23 and living 90 miles from Dallas - all of us who were adults remember it very well and few of us ever believed the Warren Report. Many of us could be around for another 20 years. So it’s still very recent history. Many books have come out in the last few years by people who did painstaking research while it’s still possible. The interest in this major event has never ebbed. So no, it isn’t like Lincoln or Caesar.
I’m as big of a fan as anyone of conspiracy theories. Although on one of the Kennedy videos it shows people rushing up the grassy knoll and they commented “People chasing the shooter.”
It looked a lot more like frightened men, women and children running away from the killing zone. And I doubt they would have fled to the area where the shots were coming from.
I can always tell when it’s November

Your son is smarter and more observant than a lot of adults.
when I was there you didn’t look out “that” window, but the one next to it or the floor above. “That” window was sealed off by glass and stacked of books to show the “snooper’s nest.” Other than that I agree. It was very close almost on top of the street.

>> “Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman who shot Kennedy.” <<
.
That is the one thing we know for sure is not true.
Were that so, there would have been no reason for the massive cover-up Warren commission BS. There would have been no reason to seal the records of the commission, and no reason for their subsequent destruction.
.
your statement makes a lot of sense. You don’t need to cover up something which doesn’t exist.
Exactly !
Makes perfect sense,
Had to be one of these two. Either could have been doing it for LBJ.
The USSR, not likely as they were probably inwardly happy to not have that idiot Castro with missiles that could get them blowed away.
Is that a Gatling gun?
Oswald never fired a shot (or...maybe fired one shot) but he was in the TSBD at the time just as he says he was. He may have been told to bring the rifle to the TSBD that morning, that is possible but sheriff’s initially reported the weapon as a Mauser and not a Carcano.
In the Zapruder film you see JFKâs head jerk violently backwards with enough momentum to pull his upper torso backwards as well.
But...Arlen Specter called this the “jet effect”...plus the “backbrace effect”, plus the “Driver did it effect”...it’s all BS, he was shot from at least 3 angles.
Many people say otherwise.
