Fox News host Megyn Kelly read through a specific list of debate demands that most Republican presidential candidates signed as a result of the CNBC debate debacle, and wondered what else they wanted â maybe a foot massage?
Kelly read through some of the demands, which included a 67 degree room temperature and approval of on-screen graphics, with Fox News digital politics editor Chris Stirewalt.
âCan you imagine having to submit our graphics for approval to the candidates?â she asked. âGood luck with that.â
Stirewalt noted that some âcandidates started peeling offâ on signing the demand letter, âbecause they have different interests.â
âTrumpâs out,â Kelly said. âFiorina never took part, sheâs like âIâll debate anyone, anywhere.ââ
Govs. Chris Christie of New Jersey and John Kasich of Ohio also declined to sign the letter.

Megyn Kelly
Go back to your feminist friends.
Traitor!!!
Still rings in my head the Trump set up questions she asked him. Playing right into the Socialist mantra War on Women.
When you don’t trust the organizers to give you a fair shake the contract needs to be specific.
I ran for office after being active against the local city council. We wore tshirts with a political statement.
When running for office, I submitted a campaign photo to the local paper, suit and tie.
Paper used my opponents official campaign photo.
They “accidentally” used a shot from city council meetings showing me in a tshirt (cropped just below neck line) as my campaign photo.
They accidentally used that pic - four times.
That’s what Megyn Kelly means about the media wouldn’t give up controlling the graphics.
Go ahead Megan. All you’re doing is burying your network further.
Your big numbers came from Conservatives looking for an alternative.
Now that you’ve gone full tilt MSM, who needs you?
This is a question your network better figure out but fast.
Otherwise you’re numbers will be down there with CNN, MSNBC, and CNBC in short order.
[Sadly I can barely read the article what is going on...]
I think it is caused by WHERE you copy and paste from, it happened to me this morning when I hit preview but when I went back and typed in the exact words they were fine.
As far as I’m concerned Fox has lost me. This broadcast is now pure simple minded garbage. They have nothing to look at that is not liberal and they give 2/3 of talk time to hard core liberals as guest. Pure garbage.
Back to the Planet Earth
The whole demand thing broke down when a number of debaters refused to sign on to the demands, including Trump.
Trump said he will make his own demands separately.
The next debate is on Fox-business 11/10/2015 , Neil Cavuto’s network, and FNC hosts have been reporting that that debate is excluded from the demands.
The real test will be the next two debates on FNC if Kelly is still asking the questions.
Is she still on the air? I haven’t watched since the FNC debate.
Your home sounds like my home.
Thanks, I was wondering if it was just my computers doing it.
Notice they are always in the bodies of the threads, where the text is copied from the sources.
Gee Megan, bitter much?
Yes! What IS going on with the chicken scratching fonts and characters lately? Very strange for FR.
When the Democrats agree to debates with Rush, Levin, and Ingraham, I’ll start paying them more respect.
I, myself, think room temp is a valid point. Not to cancel a debate but to assure the candidates that someone behind the scenes is not assigned to “make sure we see them sweat! “
I hope that is true! It is amazing to me that freepers still watch her. She hates them, their candidates and every single thing they stand for, and it is so easy to get the same news else where without the stylistic hype she brings to every topic. Inciting a riot is her to die for dream.
Once again, while I think MK is a jerk, the GOP is not communicating.
Do they even hire communications people?
The top four or five candidates should go onto a one of the shows and simply sit down and lay it out:
1. We are the victims of our own popularity.
2. Recent debates have not focused on issues, but personality
3. WE (the candidates) want to have a discussion. Ask us anything. But don’t waste our time and the time of the US Citizens.
4. Do the shows without regular commercial interruption. Prove to the people that your intent is honest and in the best interest of the country. Set up two commercial breaks so that you can defray the cost of the debate production.
5. We put no conditions on the questions. Or the questioners.
6. If the media cannot figure this out, we will work with independent media professionals and voter groups to establish our own debates, funded by our campaigns, and streamed live for free on the internet.
If she tosses in her making me a sandwich, then we will have a deal.
I have no doubt that Ms. Kelly's employment contract with Fox News likewise contains a few perks that she would rather stayed confidential.
