I took it for granted that a leftist like Bernie Sanders would be opposed to the death penalty. Still, I was truly shocked to see Sanders—not in some throwaway comment on the campaign trail but in prepared remarks on the Senate floor—flatly call the death penalty "murder." On his MSNBC show this morning, Al Sharpton played the Sanders clip to illustrate how Sanders is working to differentiate his policy positions from those of Hillary Clinton, who says she supports the death penalty in "rare" cases.
Question: how can we begin to explain the moral compass of liberals like Sanders who call imposing the death penalty on adults duly convicted of heinous crimes "murder," but refer to the killing of innocent, unborn babies as "choice" or other grotesque euphemisms like "women's health?"

Death penalty for murderers and rapists is my choice. It is inconvenient to me for them to live.
I also think babies should have a fair trial before they are killed.

No one on the left has ever be able to give a satisfactory explanation to this scenario:
An invader enters your home. Fearing mortal danger, you are allowed to shoot and kill him. That is before he has done any physical harm to you. But if he kills you, the ultimate physical harm, some do not want him to lose his life. So we can kill him before he does anything but cannot take is life after he murders someone?

Really, it's no different than removing a tumor. What's Bernie's problem? Doesn't society have a choice too?

Bernie sanders is right and wrong at the same time. both abortion and capital punishment are murder and a choice but some peoples actions make them deserve murder and an abortion is murder too but the victim never did anything to deserve the choice that was made by those doing the abortion.
I propose that if we are to carry out the death penalty on a pregnancy that a least lets have a trial of the fetus
