Trump 23, Carson, 22, Rubio 13, Kasich 6, Cruz 4.
Oct. 19-25/ The data included in this release represent the responses of 614 Pennsylvania registered voters, including 303 Democrats, 231 Republicans, and 80 Independents. MOE: 3.9%
FWIW, our primary is April 26, 2016, among the last in the nation. It is possible, but not likely, that all four of those candidates will still be candidates by then.
Why the heck would they poll Democrats in a Republican Primary, I call bunk on this poll.
Why are they polling Democrats and Independents? This is a Republican primary, Democrats don’t get a vote.
They only asked Republicans. They asked the Dems about the Beast, and the Bern.
FWIW, if I got a call about the dem candidates, I'd choose Sanders. DUHHH!
Good catch. Pennsylvania is a closed primary state. No need to poll Democrats ore even independents for that matter.
I guess they polled the campus and that was all the Republicans that they could find
231 Republicans? What’s the MOE? 8-10%. Meaningless.
They polled for both the Dem and GOP primaries, so the overall sample included both. The GOP primary poll numbers reflect only the GOP voters (and likewise, the Dem primary numbers reflect only the Dem voters).
Kasich over Cruz ?!?
I don’t know what people see in carson that I’m not seeing. Honestly if you told me he was the neurosurgeon I would laugh if it wasn’t all over the papers and on the web. Maybe I’m wrong. + attacking people with hammers and knives at 14 is a little scary. I was kind of crazy when I was young too and I am still a little lol and I wouldn’t want me to be present. Or him
I don’t see how they can possibly have an MOE of 3.9 with only 231 Republican if they used ANY weightings at all. As I understand it, the overall MOE can only be as good as the MOE of the least numerous weighting. So if you assume 51% female and 49% male, then the n of the males has to be about 114 respondents. That would be about a 9% moe, wouldn’t it?
Another stinking pile of crap poll.
They polled Democrats for the Democrat primary and Republicans for the Republican primary. The sample sizes are different for the 2 polls.
But if the same poll showed Trump with a 20 point lead it would be YUGE!
It does seem like a fairly small sample size and the PA primary is a long way away, so it probably doesn’t mean all that much.
But it seems in line with other PA polls, so it would tend to confirm the current status of the race for whatever that is worth.
It’s also a pre-debate poll, correct?
Many polls are corrupt just like the MSM/DC and the Super PACs.
A real good indicator? Watch who has the most enthusiastic massive crowds.
