The conventional wisdom among Donald Trumps detractors is that his current surge in the polls wont last because as we get closer to actual voting, Republicans excited by his political incorrectness will start factoring in electability. When GOP voters realize that he cant beat Hillary Clinton, the theory goes, they will switch their support to other more electable candidates.
One problem with that theory: Right now, GOP voters believe Trump is the most electable candidate.
A new Post/ABC News poll asked GOP-leaning voters which candidate has the best chance of getting elected president in November 2016? The winner was Trump by a landslide. An incredible 43 percent of GOP voters say that Trump is the most electable GOP candidate. In a distant second place, Ben Carson trails Trump on electability by 27 points, while Jeb Bush whose entire rationale for his campaign is electability trails Trump on electability by 30 points. Since the same poll found Trump with 32 percent support, that means even GOP voters who do not support Trump still believe he is most likely to beat the Democrats in 2016. A new Associated Press-GfK poll confirms this, finding that Seven in 10 Republicans and Republican-leaning registered voters say they think Trump could win in November 2016 if he were nominated; thats the most of any Republican candidate.

I wish i knew how to post.
Mike Tyson endorsed Trump!!
Could Trump get 20 percent of black vote?
If that happens, it’s over :)
Because immigration is the top issue and the public will not be dissuaded.
“Jeb Bush whose entire rationale for his campaign is electability trails Trump on electability by 30 points. “
Jeb is only hanging in because he’s ashamed to drop out.
The establishment are screwing with the polls now making it look like Trump and his crowds of 20,000+ are supposedly a fading thing. They are desperate to knock him out.
Donald:
If you want to solidify your candidacy...challenge Hillery to a tet-a-tet before Christmas 2015.
I’ll just let that sink in....
But this time around they have a bit of a problem, because few if anyone have any trust for the main stream media/D.C.☺
It's strange as I saw and felt the total lack of faith and trust part coming years ago. But didn't see a Trump in that picture. Trump was a huge surprise with his 6/15/2015 announcement speech. He totally blind sided the disciples of deception and the crowns of corruption.
In my opinion, we are all witnesses to big league history here.
Because none of those steers can even remember what a bull is.
Trump is winning on immigration....the people are sick of it and nothing being done about it but amnesty and we don’t want them here illegally!!!
Yeb hasn’t received permission to leave the room.
Trump is gaining 50,000 twitter subscribers per day. By December he will have close to 10 million. No other candidate can even get close to these kinds of numbers. This does not sound like the stats of a candidate who is on his way out.
Because he is a WINNER and people love a WINNER!
Wait . . . what?
At one time, though, Yeb could have said, “Momma told me not to run.” Surely Barbara will excuse him from the table. GHWB is too hobbled to care one way or the other, so maybe W is keeping Yeb in. Probably against Laura’s advice, too.
Not only does Trump have huge crowds, but look at the enthusiasm exhibited by all those who attend. Trump’s message is spreading and his support is growing. I don’t buy today’s polls. I sure hope Trump’s staff find out what the MSM and Elitists did to skew the polls. It smells to me.
How did we let Trump get so huge?
Establishment steers. Their expectations are based on others being like them.
I hope you’re right. Just remember how many followers Obama bought and paid for.
