The United States is in decline. While not all major shocks to the system will be devastating, when the right one comes along, the outcome may be dramatic.
Not all explosives are the same. We all know you have to be careful with dynamite. Best to handle it gently and not smoke while youre around it.
Semtex is different. You can drop it. You can throw it. You can put it in the fire. Nothing will happen. Nothing until you put the right detonator in it, that is.
To me, the US and most of the supposedly free West increasingly looks like a truck being systematically filled with Semtex.

The resilience and strength of character that has helped U.S. through past crises doesn't exist any longer.
“The resilience and strength of character that has helped U.S. through past crises doesn’t exist any longer”.
That is absolutely correct.
Yet another good reason to NOT have neighbors and to be as self-sufficient as you can be.
People seem to suck more so now than ever.
Most Freepers are cool, though. ;)
Well that was uplifting.
1. Destruction of farms and reliable food source.
2. Weak economic system.
3. Americans increasingly on mind-altering drugs.
4. Morals in decline.
5. Nowhere to run.
The article really should be read. The author brings these factors together, and is convincing that as one affects the other, US and other western civilization could come tumbling down.
Just another Krushchevesque “We will bury you” propaganda piece from RT.
It's RT, the Russian propaganda network.
No surprises here.
If you accept the Russian logic posited here. A crisis is only what you make of it. If you simply remove (liquidate) the communist from our education system and replace him with a patriot. You will be free of this whole problem in a single generation.
Trump is running, and one of the things he is talking about is restoring these things to their original greatness.
Thank God American is awakening.
But true.
It’s going to end one way or another, a bang or a whimper. A society as decadent and deranged as this, unmoored from its founding principles, irreconcilably divided, where innocent life means nothing, cannot and will not stand.
Antiwar.com’s Sam Gerrans?
the new Pravda but it does have some good articles and videos.
Unfortunately true, but be very careful.
Things were way worse in the 60s. And the 70s. Really even a good chunk of the 80s.
That’s what people said in the 1960’s when the antiwar movement came very close to ripping the country apart.
To all: Yes, it’s RT ... I appreciate the dynamics and irony of RT preaching the fragility of the US because of moral decline ... valid points are made in the article, however. I wish we were a more resilient and moral nation still, but we aren’t, and it’s not hard to see that in the headlines, and the machinations of politicians, political parties, government, and media.
It is not like nobody tried to tell you what was happening. Americans refused to listen and heed. Now you are in a political quagmire of your own making. I just hope Trump can get elected over the coming democrat vote fraud. Watch for it.
Well, it is RT. Not sure why people take anything RT says seriously since it is essentially Russian state propaganda, but I guess there are quite a few people now on FR who seem to support Putin - so maybe not so surprising we get so much RT gibberish here.
Sometimes it is hard to tell if this is still the FR I've come to know and love, or if it is morphing into some truther conspiracy site like InfoWars. After the Trump comments about Bush and 9-11, you could just see the truther rats feeling more confident and posting stuff that was once regarded as Michael Moore conspiracy nonsense.
This article should have been on a second rate blog site, not on the propaganda arm of the Russian State.
