Brand New Fox News Poll Reveals A Brand New Candidate Surging To The Front–You’ll Love This

He had been in fifth place at 8 percent in the last Fox News poll after having been in third place at 10 percent in Fox's August poll.

As the latest poll shows the Republican presidential contest a neck-and-neck race between two men who have led the contest in recent weeks, a new name has risen to place third.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, now has 10 percent support in a Fox News poll released Tuesday. He had been in fifth place at 8 percent in the last Fox News poll after having been in third place at 10 percent in Fox’s August poll.

The most recent poll showed Donald Trump holding his lead with 24 percent support, while Ben Carson was right behind Trump at 23 percent. No other candidate placed in double digits.

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., was in fourth at 9 percent. Jeb Bush placed fifth at 8 percent. Carly Fiorina, who received a bump in support after last month’s debate, was tied with former Ark. Gov. Mike Huckabee at 5 percent. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., had 3 percent support. Other candidates were at 1 percent or less.

Cruz last week said his actions have put distance between him and other members of the Republican pack.

“If you look to the records of all the Republican candidates there’s a big difference between my record and that of everyone else,” Cruz said. “If you ask, who has stood up to Washington? Who’s taken on not just Democrats, but taken on leaders in their own party? Republican leadership, whether was leading the fight to stop Obamacare? Whether it was leading the fight to stop executive amnesty?”

“You know at the last Republican debate in California, every Republican candidate stood up there and said, ‘we need to defund Planned Parenthood.’ But last week, when we had an epic drag down fight in Washington, not one of them showed up,” Cruz said.

"It will permit Cruz to unilaterally discard the Iran ‘deal’ as his first official action as President"

Nonsense. The next president could have done that in any event.

Yes. RCP has the matchups. Clinton is very weak, and Carson, Trump & Bush are doing pretty well vs Clinton or Sanders. Biden would do very well if the US voted today. (Scroll down for various match-ups) http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/2016_presidential_race.html

“It’s been fun watching the left and the liberal Republicans go ballistic every time Trump said something, but all that bombast is becoming tiring for me”

That is just his style. What is beneath the bombast? It isn’t Conservative principles. He is no conservative and, as a matter of fact, he isn’t a Republican or Democrat - He is a Trump. Trump is the personification of sound bites for the angry, frustrated and disgusted.

You don't have to be concerned who voted for Corker's bill, then. Your concern will be which candidate as the president will do it.

I've given up on finding the perfect candidate simply because such a creature does not exist. I look for the one who most closely conforms to my values and beliefs, who has demonstrated a respect for the Constitution and the rule of law, who loves the US and will represent everyone, not just a select few. I happen to think Ted Cruz is the one who fits best in all categories.

The last 2 presidential elections, we have had little to choose from. We now have a good mix of liberals, phony conservatives and real conservatives. We must choose wisely. We need someone to pull us back from the brink. If we continue to reject potentially strong and effective leaders on the basis of one or two issues, we will end up with yet another socialist at the helm. Then all will be lost.

Seems to me someone buried the lead on this one. In the last FOX poll Trump had 26%, so he’s down 2% this time, and Carson had 18%, so he’s up 5%.

Meanwhile, Cruz was right where he was two Fox polls earlier, at 10%. (Carson was 12% in that one.)

I think Carson is playing the Trump game of doubling down on whatever he says that upsets the liberal media, but doing it with twice the brainpower, and it’s working.

And how any candidate voted on Corker's bill if the best evidence I have on how they would act in this regard as president.

What I like best about Ted Cruz is that he is a younger version of Senator Jeff Sessions: solidly conservative while being well spoken, polite and extremely likable.

It is a rare combination.

I figured that Fiorina’s bump would be temporary and for the life of me I can’t understand Carson’s attraction. But of the serious candidates I think Cruz currently being third positions him well for continuing to climb in the weeks ahead.

I like the way you think.

We pray for GOD’s favor upon Ted Cruz every single day.
