Former Texas A&M football player accused of hacking jogger to death in Dallas park

Dallas police say a former college football player hacked a jogger to death in a Dallas park Monday morning in what authorities said appeared to be a random attack.
Police told KDFW that Thomas Johnson, 21, had admitted to carrying out the attack along the White Rock Creek Trail, and even called to report the crime shortly after it happened. Investigators said Johnson had recently been kicked out of his home and was full of rage.
"He was angry about his situation," Dallas Police Department Deputy Chief Rob Sherwin told reporters. "It’s very unusual. It’s quite shocking."
Police said Johnson used a "large-edged weapon" to carry out the attack, which took place just after 8 a.m. local time. The victim was not carrying identification, and is described as a white man in either his late-20s or early-30s.
The trail, located north of downtown Dallas, is a popular spot for joggers and bikers.
"You could tell it was a machete coming down," a witness told KDFW. "On what, I wasn't sure at first, but when I got closer I could tell it was a body. And he was repeatedly hitting it in the back of the neck."

This is more likely connected to a history of schizophrenia for Johnson. It doesn't excuse the brutal attack, but it probably played a part and will be up to the courts to decide.
They never found out what happened to him or where was for several days. Was he kidnapped and brainwashed to kill on signal
He was still living at home when he wasn’t in jail or on the streets.
Johnson is severely schizophrenic, has been for years. It’s the reason for that oddball disappearance during his first semester in college, and it’s the reason he’s been in trouble off and on every since.
Off his meds, out of control, a source of grief and pain to everyone around him.
This murder was not about islam and probably not about race.
I’m told, by those who were closer to the 2012 disappearance, that when having a psychotic episode Johnson thought he was a particular machete-carrying movie character who lived in the woods. When found in 2012, he was in a wooded area. Yesterday’s attack was in a wooded area along White Rock creek.
There is just no bright spot in this story, none at all. Johnson must never be allowed to walk free again. I am sure that his family is both grieved and relieved that he no longer poses a threat to them or to others.

I find it interesting that Trump remarked about Germany and the so called “refuges” over there, however I call on ALL candidates to speak out regarding black on white as well as black on black violence, in America.
