Dallas police say a former college football player hacked a jogger to death in a Dallas park Monday morning in what authorities said appeared to be a random attack.
Police told KDFW that Thomas Johnson, 21, had admitted to carrying out the attack along the White Rock Creek Trail, and even called to report the crime shortly after it happened. Investigators said Johnson had recently been kicked out of his home and was full of rage.
"He was angry about his situation," Dallas Police Department Deputy Chief Rob Sherwin told reporters. "Its very unusual. Its quite shocking."
Police said Johnson used a "large-edged weapon" to carry out the attack, which took place just after 8 a.m. local time. The victim was not carrying identification, and is described as a white man in either his late-20s or early-30s.
The trail, located north of downtown Dallas, is a popular spot for joggers and bikers.
"You could tell it was a machete coming down," a witness told KDFW. "On what, I wasn't sure at first, but when I got closer I could tell it was a body. And he was repeatedly hitting it in the back of the neck."

Apparently, white lives don't matter.
looks like someone I saw at the CalypsoLouie rally last week
Machete? Back of the neck? Muslim?
I think we have seen this behavior before somewhere...
There are 4 things that the media will ALWAYS go out of their way to include in a story no matter how irrelevant:
Former Marine
Former football player
Former stripper
Mom (a woman that has had a child at some point in her life, even if she's 90 years old, she's be called a "Mom")
Get kicked out of your house..?
Yeah, just go hack some innocent stranger to death.
That`ll clear things up.

Apparently it is time for a MACHETE BAN in Dallas.
Dallas Police Search for Robbers Using a Machete
By Ray Villeda
Dallas police say there have been at least three robberies that involved machetes within two weeks.
The first attack happened on May 12 when a man parked in his car was held up by someone with a gun in one hand and a machete in the other. That person ran off with the victim’s wallet and phone.
The second attack happened on May 20. This time, two men held up a man around 5:15 a.m. on the 7600 block of Indian Ridge Trail.
Police said one held up a gun and the other a machete to his back.
That same day, just before 6 a.m., another man was held up on the 5100 block of Mark Trail Way while he checked his mail. This time, the victim was shoved to the ground, then kicked in the head, before the robbers took off with his wallet and phone.
Police are not sure if all three attacks are related.
