This weekend, Chick-fil-A made headlines for the throngs of people in New York City waiting to get into its newest--and now largest--restaurant.
Hundreds of people waited in line all night at the corner of 37th Street and Sixth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan for the chance to be one of the first 100 people to win free weekly Chick-fil-A for a year.
The grand opening was also met with protesters, which included the animal and gay rights group "Collectively Free" demonstrating outside the restaurant.
But individuals waiting in line did not seem to pay much mind--they were there for the chicken.
The fast food chain with conservative values continues to bring in record profits, even during a time when many fast-food restaurants are struggling.
And with significantly fewer locations than many of its competitors, and the fact that all of its locations are closed on Sundays, Chick-fil-As success may be nothing short of a fast food miracle. . .

I thought I would never see the day Chick Fil A went north of the Mason-Dixon line.
Tasty Chicken Sandwich. Saturday lunch near home.
I want to know how Chick-Fil-A gets all the best workers the fast food industry has to offer. Compare and contrast any McDonalds with Chic-fil-a. Same industry, same basic business model, two completely different experiences.
Clean, courteous, good service, decent food all gladly paid for at a higher price.
Funny how good old fashion customer service seems to win.
Oh brother. Don't even go there.
“protesters, which included the animal and gay rights group”
If I had a dollar for every time “protesters’ was linked in the same sentence to “animal and gay rights group” I would be a millionaire.
I work on 48th Street so I definitely have another place to go for lunch! I don’t normally do franchises in Manhattan but I’ll make an exception for Chick-Fil-A.
Maybe they advertise on Sunday’s, on the church bulletin board.

Well there you go, the reason for the long lines are right there.
Any other fast food company could get long lines if they had a gimmick like this.
This is sort of like Microsoft boasting 110 million installations of Windows 10. Why? HEY BECAUSE IT’s FREE !!
That loud noise you hear is an explosion of Christian haters that tried boycotting this great eatery.
ever since Leftist took over McDonald, their food and service quality has gone down
Yep, I go to Chic Fil a almsot as much for the employees as the food!
They hire the best people in the food industry.

Liberals in corporations will never learn... they are convinced that catering to sodomites win earn business.
Coming out as pro-traditional Christian beliefs is the best thing that ever happened to Chic-fil-a.
And liberals are left scratching their heads...”I don’t understand how that happened”
The show Duck Dynasty that portrays Christians in a traditional family... no SMUT, no pregnant foul-mouthed drunken teenagers.... they pray to JESUS as a family at the dinner table every episode... had a run as the most popular nonscripted show on cable of all time.
And liberals are left scratching their heads...”I don’t understand how that happened”
When the same network A&E fired Phil Robertson for stating he held Christian beliefs when it came to gay marriage and was opposed to it, the whole thing backfired spectacularly with hundreds of thousands threatening boycott if they didn’t hire him back.
And liberals are left scratching their heads...”I don’t understand how that happened”
Their traditional chicken nuggets are amazing with the chick fil a sauce. Love this place.....maybe too much as my waist line can attest.

That’s SOP for Chick-fil-a. They do that at every new store opening but you don’t
hear about it but NY makes the national news.
We’ve had Chick-Fil-A in Colorado at least since the early 80s. My friend and I would go to the mall, never having any money, and go back a couple of times for the free samples of chicken they were offering to entice you in. They were only in the mall here in Aurora. It was only in the last maybe 10 years or so that they started having stand alone restaurants.
My wife and son frequent the place more than me - just from schedule - but last two times on a Saturday I was in there - I just cannot get over the amazing job of customer service they do. ALL of them. Smiles, helpful, table delivery and no hassle/guilt-trip if something’s wrong with your order.
They absolutely earn their profits through food quality AND largely with customer service.
Agreed, the main reason the line was so long was the free chicken for a year. It’ll be interesting to see how the store does in the long term, I haven’t often seen a Chick-fil-A close down.
Echoing what others have said, their customer service is phenomenal they cater well to their target market: families.
Chick-fil-A makes a great sammich, but the line was too loooong today, so I got a Chicken/Swiss/Bacon sammich from Arby’s/ It was very good!
