Senators are calling on President Obama to clarify his strategy on Syria, after Russia ignored repeated U.S. warnings and began bombing rebel groups there this week to shore up the Assad regime.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), one of the administration's biggest foreign policy critics, called on the administration to take stronger measures.
"We should establish no-fly zones in Syria and make it clear that any aircraft that enters those zones will be shot down,” he said.

Obama doesn’t have a Syria strategy. Obama doesn’t have an Iraq strategy, he doesn’t have an Iran strategy, nothing. The only strategy he has is the screw up everything. He’s like the Midas touch in reverse, everything he touches turns to crap. Right now, he looks like a wimpy schoolboy being beaten up by the Russian football player.

The problem is allowing Russia to become a major player in the region, and allowing Ian's military to start stretching its legs now that they are no longer surrounded. (Plus Obama considers any Muslim rebel a close personal friend. Ahem.)
I understand the wise notion of not wanting our troops to get involved in every civil war and stupid skirmish... but there are ancillary consequences to keep in mind.

Obama’s policy, presuming we ever had one, has clearly failed. The Russians are now running the show.
Why in God’s name would we commit our military to fighting the Russians, when Obama can’t ever explain what his policy is?

1. Install covert Muslim Preisident in place
2. Install Muslim administration
3. Increase spending to put America into a financial tailspin; no money left to build or support military infrastructure
4. Invite and entice Muslim and illegal immigrants with welfare benefits and other conveniences to further overwhelm administration
5. Appeal to Americans to allow Muslim, not Christian, refugees to relocate to the U.S. to build Muslim population
6. Increase brown population so that white population no longer has power
7. Destroy Constitutional powers; install sharia law
8. Remove 2nd Amendment rights:0; disarm citizens using staged shootings and propaganda
9. Develop domestic army comprised of brown population in background
10. Create dissension and uprisings using politicized groups to create lawless society to make people beg for protection
11. Push notion / propaganda showing that local law enforcement agencies are ineffective and that a world police agency is needed to cover all territories
12. Establish world police; disarm citizens
13. Declare Caliphate
14. Kill white population
15. AntiChrist appears on scene
16. Collect billion dollar + payoff from George Soros

What is the fascination with airplanes flying into buildings on 9/11? Barrel bombs are terror weapons used on civilian targets. Savage, savage stuff.
It would be easy to say that their aren't any "good guys" in this conflict, but I would say Assad is better than ISIS and the hodgepodge of other factions that oppose him.
If and when Assad falls, (I think it's most likely inevitable at this point), do you really think the Syrians who started protesting against Assad will be running the show?
I'd be more along the lines of a ISIS/Al Qaeda or whatever they go by now. The average Syrian will beg for the "good old days" when Assad ran the show.

There’s no good reason to cede the ME to Iran & Russia. It’s foolish to think that we won’t pay for that sooner or later. At this rate it will be quite soon. Probalby in about a decade when Iran has nuclear tipped ICBM’s aimed at CONUS.
Barrel bomba are IEDs. They are the only ordnance this LEGAL country had left to defend itself till outside help arrived.

Declaring no-fly zones in Syria is a stupid idea and will start a major conflict needlessly. Why?
To depose Assad who has been there for decades and an ally of Russia for 30 years? Why? Because he is defending his power against rebels who don’t like him?
Why do we need to get involved in that fight at all?
