At Least 10 People Reportedly Killed in Oregon College Shooting

A suspected gunman was detained Thursday after reportedly killing at least 10 people at Oregon's Umpqua Community College, according to CNN.
Preliminary information indicated 10 people were killed and more than 20 were injured at the college, located at 1140 Umpqua College Road in the Roseburg community, Oregon State Police spokesman Bill Fugate told CNN.
TV station KATU initially reported state police said 15 people were killed, but later tweeted there were seven to 10 fatalities.
The shooter was believed to have been detained, Fugate also told CNN.

Whatever other people did to the shooter that justified this in his mind, it wasn’t enough to warrant killing them.
Let me guess, this guy just happens to be on medication. No need to keep him under watch until he stabilizes of course.
I could be wrong about this, but it sure occurs to me.
As frequent as these events are in America, they happen more often in places where gun rights don’t exist: England, Canada, Zimbabwe and such.

The community college is a gun-free campus.
“Possession, use, or threatened use of firearms (including but not limited to BB guns, air guns, water pistols, and paint guns) ammunition, explosives, dangerous chemicals, or any other objects as weapons on college property, except as expressly authorized by law or college regulations, is prohibited,” the college’s security policy states.
