Amid conflicting reports about Moscow targeting U.S.-alllied groups in Syria, GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said late Wednesday that she backs military readiness against Russian forces.
I believe we must tell the Russians that we will conduct [and] we will secure a no-fly zone around anti-Assad rebel forces that were supporting, she said on Fox Newss "Hannity."
Does that mean we might use force against Russian jets? host Sean Hannity then asked. Well, hopefully not, Fiorina responded. "Hopefully, if we are signaling clearly to the Russians are intention, it will not come to that.
But if it does come to that, I think we must be prepared, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO added.

Whoah girl....Russia has been an ally of Syria for over 50 years.
We don't even have diplomatic ties with Syria. We closed their Embassy in DC and sent everyone.
We have no interest nor do we belong in Syria.
Very simple, the Middle East aint worth starting WWIII over.
Gawd she’s stupid.
Syria needs careful handling now that 0bumbler has got us into this state.
I’d let Russia bomb ISIS and anyone else they want on the Syrian side of the border. I’d work with Russia by bombing ISIS on the Iraqi side of the border.
Heaven knows our air campaign has been nearly useless. The Russkies will carpet bomb ISIS strongholds, and I really don’t have a problem with that. Let the ISIS boys dig their way out of the rubble.
If we merely focus on Iraq, we can concentrate our very few and very ineffectual sorties on Mosul, Ramadi, Fallujah, etc. where we know the territory, and may actually have some intel.
Sheesh, Carly. Are you just looking to tangle with Puti when we SHOULD have the same strategic objective?
I don’t think FR is a right-wing site. It is smack dab in the political mainstream.
Well at least Carly now has a use for those defective printers HP produced during her tenure there as CEO. She can carpet bomb the Russkies with them.
So she’s a Democrat?
Sadly I agree. It used to be T H E right wing site until liberals invaded.
She wants to go to war with Russia to protect ISIS?
Her kid died from OD on drugs. Now she wants to kill other parents kids as well.
Right wing is a pejorative meant to marginalize the opinions of Constitutional Conservatives.
No, right wing is a historical term meant to separate our positions from those of the left. Always was, Always will be. I don’t let liberals alter history and I agree they try to by changing definitions. But Right Ring is not something they get to play with. History is what it is.
Edit...WING
Hey Carly, I thought you weren’t gonna talk to Putin?? Now you intend to start WW3. This woman, Fiorina, is insane & a joke. Get ‘er off the stage!
There are very few good outcomes of that.
Russian force doctrine is to go nuclear if there is any type of attack on Russian soil by the US military.
It can only help observers decide when these people try to talk as much as Trump. Sooner or later they will either out themselves as irrational, tongue chewing window lickers or someone to be taken seriously. Thank goodness Ms. Fiorina is making apparent she likes the taste of windows before we actually made her a serious candidate.
Has the idiot even looked at a map ? What she wants is impossible
Liberal media has a blackout on her comments. She made them more than 12 hours ago and the only outlets reporting are Breitbart and The Hill.
“Putin is a Russian nationalist and wants to control the Ukraine and Mideast oil. He seems to have a strategy. Whats ours?”
Spreading Islamic Caliphate everywhere, as quickly as posdible, before January 2017.
I think we must be prepared to stand up for US interests. But the problem is that these have been very clouded by Obama’s miserable manipulations.
Everything has got to be refocused. Obama is an isolationist, partly because he doesn’t want to fight Islamic terrorists because he wants them to win, but also because Dems are isolationists. The problem is that the world doesn’t let you be isolated anymore.
And even though we were isolationist non-participants in the first two World Wars, we got drawn in. So we have to have a plan.
Russia could be an ally, but they have to respect us first. And they don’t. I wonder why....
