YoutTube Video: Donald Trump Endorses Universal Health Care - "The Government's Gonna Pay For It."
On Sunday’s episode of 60 Minutes on CBS, Donald Trump said that “Obamacare is a disaster” and that he plans to repeal it and replace it with a government-funded universal healthcare plan.
During the lengthy interview, CBS correspondent Scott Pelley asked billionaire real estate mogul and 2016 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump his position on healthcare reform.
“Obamacare’s going to be repealed and replaced. Obamacare is a disaster if you look at what’s going on with premiums where they’re up 40, 50, 55 percent,” replied Trump.
Pelley then pressed him to offer his own specific plan for fixing the U.S. healthcare system.

Trump began explaining, “There’s many different ways, by the way. Everybody’s got to be covered. This is an un-Republican thing for me to say because a lot of times they say, ‘No, no, the lower 25 percent that can’t afford private.’ But…”
Pelley then interrupted, noting that Trump was describing a universal healthcare plan.
Trump continued, “I am going to take care of everybody. I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now.”
The real estate billionaire then explained that he “would make a deal with existing hospitals to take care” of uninsured Americans.
When Pelley asked him to clarify who would pay for the plan, Trump replied, “The government’s gonna pay for it. But we’re going to save so much money on the other side. But for the most it’s going to be a private plan and people are going to be able to go out and negotiate great plans with lots of different competition with lots of competitors with great companies and they can have their doctors, they can have plans, they can have everything.
People hear one word, and panic.
In the future, if you're going to jump on a bandwagon, jump on a conservative bandwagon, not a populist big government one.
I read these threads and they just reinforce two of my rules and observations:
1. If you like someone, you are willing to forgive and rationalize anything they say or do.
2, If you do not like someone, there is nothing that will convince you that their statements or actions are worth considering.
When I apply this to myself, it always works.
Nothing wrong with that. It’s just the way I see it.
Everyone was covered before Obamacare....All you had to do w go to the emergency room.
How is the government paying for everything a "free-market reform"?
Its already “free”.
The past unfortunate times I found myself in the emergency room, it looked like a Hernandez family reunion. I wondered how many of them are going to pay the bill.
He didn’t mean that the government would pay for everything for everyone—just the indigent, since he was describing that when asked the question.
He clearly said most of us would be in the free market.
While I enjoy watching Trump kick the Republicans in the behind and enjoy his “Make America Great” rhetoric, it’s amazing how many believe that Trump is a conservative savior when he so clearly is not conservative. The truth is the truth: he does not want to deport all illegal aliens and he favors “single payer” healthcare i.e. government paid.
Good Lord, no wonder everyone is sick of the media right along with the establishment politicos.
I so agree with you....
He is talking about a health care plan for every LEGAL citizen of America...
If your an ‘ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT’ you get nothing, and you shouldn’t...your not a citizen, and your not legal...
I loved his tax plan also....
I don’t see the courts favoring us on that issue so far. In fact the opposite is happening and they are regularly getting all sorts of bennies as a ‘constitutional matter’ in ruling after ruling.
That is not going to change as long as long as their are illegals in America. So you have to get rid of them ALL.
Trumps supporters need to get him up to speed on the fact that the states have never delegated to the feds expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for INTRAstate healthcare purposes.
If Trump wants national healthcare then he needs to work with state lawmakers and Congress to propose a healthcare amendment to the Constitution to the states. And if the states ratify Trumps amendment then the feds will have the constitutional authority to regulate, tax and spend for intrastate healthcare purposes and Trump will be a hero.
Or if Trump gets rid of unconstitutional federal taxes, he could simply encourage the states to establish their own individual healthcare programs with their 10th Amendment-protected powers. RomneyCare is an example, but not necessarily a good example from what I understand.
That is not going to change as long as long as their are illegals in America. So you have to get rid of them ALL.

You have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its just the latest gotcha attack.
The usual pack will jump around for 2 days and then breathlessly wonder why they managed to sway no one.
I’ve been asking, where is this so-called Trump HC plan of which they speak?
Oh, that’s right...hasn’t been released, yet.
But, Trump HAS posted actual policy positions, on his website, on Immigration/Wall,
2nd Amendment rights, and now....Tax Plan.

inventing stuff out of whole cloth is what the drive-by does best.
I know... i am just being a wiseguy
Boy people here still jump awful fast at the libtard media lies...
Haven’t we all learned better than that by now?
Gotcha. I have had a few people lately hit me with that in seriousness though ;)
