Ben Carson once gently questioned Donald Trump's Christian faith, but on Friday Bobby Jindal went much further. The Louisiana governor explicitly and repeatedly ridiculed Trump's faith, effectively accusing him of faking his Christianity before an evangelical conference that had heard the GOP frontrunner speak only hours earlier. Jindal, who is lagging at 0.3 percent in the national polls for the Republican presidential nominee, came onto the stage at the Values Voter Summit in Washington holding a book. Jindal joked with the audience, saying that Trump -- who on Friday morning held up what he said was his childhood Bible before that same audience -- had left his Bible behind. The punchline: Jindal raised the book for the cameras. It was Trump's bestseller "The Art of the Deal." "[Trump] said that his favorite book was the Bible," Jindal said, later in the speech. "He couldn't name one verse." "Folks, he hasn't read the Bible. You know he hasn't read the Bible because his name's not in the Bible." Many in the audience of more than 1,000 evangelicals laughed and clapped. Jindal received even louder cheers when he described Trump as a "narcissist" who might appeal as an entertainer but would be dangerous as a leader. "We conservatives have a choice," Jindal said. "Are we going to turn to our conservative principles... or are we going to turn to a man who believes in nothing but himself."

Yes! For some people it seems to be a desperate ploy for the attention they are NOT getting.
Make a truly outrageous comment about Trump and you will get press for at least a few hours.
I have no respect for this.
There is so much to criticize on the democrat side. The President, the two or three candidates, the failures, the treachery, oh, I could go on ... and why use space hitting on Trump.
GOOD ONE!
Confirmation picture?
Is Trump a Catholic?
I agree. There is something inherently pharisaical in that exercise, and unless one has a perfect grasp of the truth and the walk, its best not to go there about someone whose heart you do not know.
On more earthly matters, Jindal does not have anything near to the political capital that he thinks he does, and he could squander it all with these kinds of ineffectual remarks.
He could have set himself up for a sterling career in someone’s cabinet, a role in which he would excel. Perhaps he thinks Yeb? can still do this, or have it done for him. That may be it.
Jindal was a good man once. He was a very able assistant to Governor Mike Foster, who was the best governor Louisiana has had in living memory.
The Geriatric Old Plotters started to groom him and whisper delusions of grandeur into his ears thereafter, and he has become a sad caricature and GOPe token.
He has lost his way.
Frankly, I question his Christian faith, too. BUT, he is better than anything the RATS have.
Before I get blistered, I haven’t made my selection yet. I got Cained the last time around.
Other churches have confirmatiinz. Methodist. presbyterian Lutheran. Any church who practices baptism of babies.

I couldn't have said it better
BUMP!
Jindal lost huge credibility with me on this
What kind of personal litmus test does Jindal propose the republicans impose on each other ????
Attack the man’s policy but leave his religion out of it
Trump,is a typical wasp Presbyterian which no one should find to be a threat to America
Trump is a Presbyterian and has talked about this on various interviews
Google is your friend
Jindal did himself in a few weeks ago when he started flailing instead of speaking the message of conservatism. This indicates he’s on the way out the door as far as Presidential aspirations.
I don't think Donald or his supporters have a right to complain about being the subject of some funny one-liners.
He certainly knows how to dish it out.
Mr. Trump has also been involved in veteran’s charities for at least 30 years, much before his Presidential candidacy. Trump has his warts but none of them are in regard to his love for his country. He does.
“Bobby doesnt expect to be the candidate....so he can say whatever NEED be said about MISTER WONDERFUL...”
Jindal is about to leave his tenure as governor of Louisiana. The vast majority of people in Louisiana will be glad to see him go. He will leave the state in financial shambles.
“It is the reason Trump has brought the Bible”
I don’t think that Trump carries a Bible around all the time. I don’t myself. It is the symbolism of the thing. Christianity is under attack in this country, in case you haven’t noticed. Would you prefer a candidate wave around a Koran?
Trump should say: “What? I can’t hear anybody who is that far in the back of the pack. Did somebody fart back there?”
