The live feed just panned the stadium and pretty much every seat in the lower sections is filled - except for one block right behind the reporter. I'm thinking that's VIP seating and they are currently in VIP area having open bar or something.
Reporterette now saying 13,000 in stadium at the moment - no idea how she's getting that number.

The reporter at the live link just proved that the media is biased. She said “there can’t be 20 thousand here”, maybe “19,000” then she decided on “8,000” if I heard her right. She scrunched her face up as she said all of this as she talked to the producer.
