Donald Trump latest's close-up is coming from the unlikeliest of magazines: Rolling Stone.
The magazine, well known for its progressive bent, interviewed and photographed Trump for its September 24 cover.
The article's most-talked-about passage on Wednesday was a Trump comment about rival Republican 2016 candidate Carly Fiorina.
Writer Paul Solotaroff was sitting with Trump watching a newscast when a video clip zoomed in on Fiorina.
"Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that?" Trump said to Solotaroff. "Can you imagine that, the face of our next president.
Trump added, "I mean, she's a woman, and I'm not s'posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?"

Except this in this case, he actually said it. "In an interview with FOX News on Thursday morning, Trump did not dispute the quote but said that he made the comment in a "jocular manner" and that he was referring to Fiorina's "persona."
>> Could this be that moment for Trump? <<
No, because Trump can do no wrong. Deal with it and get over it.
>> I guess I dont worship Trump as the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ - unlike many Trumpsters <<
I think you might misinterpret their enthusiasm. It may not be actual “worship” because I read a few weeks ago on another FR thread that Trump is really analogous to John the Baptist, preparing the way for the one true savior, Ted Cruz.
>> Was he really that dumb to let someone from RS into his inner sanctum? <<
To a carnival barker and snake-oil salesman, there is no such thing as bad publicity.
“She is an attractive, smart woman
To me she’s butt ugly, always having having a smirk on her face, which turns her chin into a wrinkled up old prune. She also looks older than her 60 years.
OK, move along, nothing to see here. Thread should be terminated. On to the next FR feeding frenzy.
In any event, Trump can do no wrong. So get over it.
I read the entire story. Can’t find it.
Right after he supposedly made the remark (which I agree with by the way), but will certainly be used by the media to try and run him out of the race, here’s the start of the next sentence in the article.
“And there, in a nutshell, is Trump’s blessing and his curse: He can’t seem to quit while he’s ahead”
Rolling Stone got what they wanted, another ambush on someone they don’t like. McChrystal comes to mind.
” those who did automatically believe what RS is saying about Trump (on the face of it, despite knowing their history) are wrong to do that. Their conveniently believing what RS said disappoints me.”
The real estate mogul first noted that “the pictures in the magazine were magnificent” and that “overall, it was probably a pretty good story.”
He then said, “Probably I did say something like that about Carly,” adding later that he said it “in a jocular manner.” He also said it wasn’t about her appearance.
Yeah, he made them. Deal with it.
Guess what/ My preferred candidate topped 30% in Iowa in latest Quinnipiac poll! I pick winners!! hahaha
Give it up South40....

I must be pretty effective Trump backer, don’t you think?
Trump is gaining with every poll. Your candidate is falling behind with every poll. Start picking winners, and then you will not be so melancholy.
FioRino opened her kiddie debate with a insult at Trump. He was not even there in the kiddie debate to respond.

Barabbas was also popular with the mob. He won his freedom. But a winner? Oh, hell no.
If I'm melancholy, it's only because I'm realizing that there's a huge contingent of right-wingers (although not truly conservative) who are the flip side of the left's low-information voter. The condition is replete with idol worship and "don't-confuse-me-with-the-facts" thinking about a candidate who is simply not up to the job. Just as the left wasn't embarrassed by Obama's negatives (Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, partial birth abortion, dirty Chicago politics in removing his opponent, etc.) preferring to believe only his rhetoric (in order to get elected, of courses), the right-wing LIV aren't put off by tRUMP's previous Democrat positions, his childish behavior, his willingness to play the crony capitalist game (one wonders if he could have been successful if he'd played the game with principle instead of lining the pockets of others), etc. And they hang on tRUMP's rhetoric as if they actually believe he has core conservative(ish) values. But even those who admit that he doesn't are of the "so what?" mindset. Adding to my sadness is that this is happening on "The Premier Conservative Site on the Web," my beloved FR. But as you have pointed out, your candidate is winning, so who am I to say?
BTW, please don't emulate your idol with diarrhea of the mouth keyboard. You don't need to make back-to-back posts to make your point. One post is sufficient.
“It would be very helpful if FR had an ignore feature.”
I don’t know - sometimes poking the FRDB’s is the only thing that keeps me sane around here. Thanks, though - it’s always good to know there are still people who will openly laugh at the parodies that many FReepers have become.
