PGA cancels Grand Slam of Golf event at Trump course

The PGA is canceling its annual Grand Slam of Golf tournament this year following a disagreement with presidential contender Donald Trump.
The event was slated to be held in October at the GOP front-runner's Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles. But the PGA decided in July to move the tournament after Trump made controversial statements about illegal immigration.
On Thursday, the PGA said they were unable to find another venue in time.

It seems that Trump initiated the cancellation. The article noted “discriminatory nature” of his statements. That is exactly what is needed; i.e. discrimination and expulsions. It is time.

You have to read down in the story to know that this is not new news. The PGA actually pulled the tournament from Trump’s course back in July. Because they say they can not find a suitable replacement, they are now canceling the tournament.

The PGA Tour discriminates against women by not permitting them to play in their tournaments. Even as a golfer competes against the course directly not against other players, the PGA Tour intentionally forbids qualified women from competing at all.
Yet because Trump objected to illegal aliens stealing into the country, the PGA Tour throws a fit.

Wow, so instead of allowing the tourney to proceed at a Trump course, the PGA has a hissy fit and tries to change venue(and probably forfeited a hefty deposit) and since the PGA is unsuccessful, the entire event is cancelled.
I’m sure the golfers are thrilled.

Cedar...they cancelled the tourney....the whole tourney.
What was in July was the venue, Trump’s course. Since then they failed to find a new course so they are now cancelling the Grand Slam of Golf.
Huge.

Here’s something funny.
The PGA owns a golf course in Kentucky, that they bought in part to mitigate this sort of risk and give them a fall back option thats completely under their control.
They decide, today, not to exercise that available fallback option and cancel the event outright.
I wonder why? Did I mention that golf course is in Kentucky?
