I’m still waiting for the true conservatives to disassociate from the GOPe and align with a new party. Only THEN will we see the death of the GOPe.

Too bad the Tea Party candidates that were elected weren’t real. They went to DC and turned on their constituents. They don’t do what they promised.

Trump’s official stances on a lot of critical issues are being overlooked because, for the most part, this is not even about Donald Trump. This is about a party that had long been disenfranchised but lacked any national vehicle through which to express its despair.

The money quote.

The GOPe, however, will act viciously now that it is cornered. If Trump continues on and beats them, nothing the Democrats can throw at him in the general election will even slow him down.

The article is a good read. GOP leadership intentionally lied to conservative America, those Americans adversely affect by Obama’s policies and a general malaise that they established over the last 12 years (actually more).

They rode that tsunami of distrust and disgust with the status quo back into office and not only did nothing, they HELPED Obama in his treachery. They high-fived each other on successfully lying to us and proceeded to feather their own beds. They didn’t realize the price for that duplicity. They don’t even fully realize it now.

They are just beginning to see that wrath they carefully cultivated. Trump is the focus. He’s not the answer but he is the temporary soldier that will destroy their damned house of cards and the sooner the better. His campaign will kill Bush’s candidacy and all the others who consort with GOP establishment. When he falters, then Cruz or Walker can take up the banner.

Good article.
Horowitz hit the nail squarely on the head.

I wonder if Boehner and McConnell will someday look back and realise *they* were the ones who killed the Republican party?

I doubt it.
Their egoes matches Donald Trumps stride for stride.
At least Trump has built something useful.
Boehner and McConnell have only squandered what was built for them.

Well said.

Trump is not the hope of conservatives. He is another fake just like Juan McCain and Mitt Romney. Until a couple of years ago, he was a Democrat. He loves Hillary and abortion and most of the liberal memes. TRUMP IS A FAKE. If he gets the nomination, he will lie down and surrender to Hillary or whichever Socialist the Democrats nominate.

Trump is a bombastic egoist.

He's not a conservative. In fact, I'm not sure that he has core beliefs.

He's not someone I would want as a friend, even if I had his money, or he had mine.

He can't be trusted. Several women, at least, have found this to be true.

But he is saying what needs to be said on the only issue that matters this election. His ideas are somewhat half-baked, but at least he sees the problem.

So, as long as he is in the race (pray God to victory), I am going to hold my nose and vote for him, hoping for the best, but not really expecting it.
