Virginia Shooting Victims Husband: I Blame the Guy Holding the Gun, Not the Gun
On August 28, Tim Gardner, husband of Virginia shooting victim Vicki Gardner, said he does not blame the gun for his wifes shooting. Rather, he blames the man who was holding the gun and pulled the trigger.
Vicki is the woman Alison Parker was interviewing when Vester Lee Flanagan opened fire.
According to Fox News, Tim Gardner said one of Flanagans bullets grazed [Vickis] spine without doing the damage a direct hit would have done. Tim expressed gratitude that it was not a direct hit and that it missed major blood vessels, as well.
He then stressed that the gun was not the issue, making clear his belief that Flanagan would have acquired a knife or machete even if he didnt have access to a gun.
Tim said, He was bound and determined to try to make a name for himself on live TV because he failed at it so many times. So no, I dont blame the gun, I blame the guy that was holding the gun.

And the lamestream media will now dutifully ignore him.
The media will just ignore that. They will never blame someone with two victim statuses.
Unlike the reporter’s father who was screaming for more gun control!
Amen, brother!
I was just thinking that, as terrible as this was, can you imagine if it was a head shot that made it on the camera feed. At least viewers were spared from seeing something like that.
...........and he was one of their own...........................
MSM are liberals, and people who work for a living are less likey to be.
“Unlike the reporters father who was screaming for more gun control!”
Likely that her father and the victim were both brainwashed in Liberal colleges. If she were alive she would probably be on the side of the gun grabbers.

He was beyond emotionally distraught, his daughter hasn’t even been buried yet, and I’m personally giving him a pass although it makes me livid when the Left (like the awful Gov of Va) uses grief-stricken family members to jump on the gun control issue. Alison’s father is also determined that his daughter will not have died in vain and guns are an easy target as compared to mental illness or evil, protected classes like this homo black getting away with bad behavior in the workplace because everyone is running scared of lawsuits, etc. We’ll see where Alison’s father ends up once he starts working through his intense grief and can process what was going on with the shooter and why he did what he did. If he goes after more gun control then, well I’ll cancel his ‘pass’ at that point.
Well—That’s refreshing.
A great response. I’ve never understood this idea that the gun is the problem. If someone shoots a loved one of mine I certainly wouldn’t be angry at the gun. I’d be angry at the bastard that pulled the trigger.

In also blame Obama who’s been stirring up racial hatred since the Beer Summit.
FINALLY someone that gets it. Praying for a speedy recovery for his wife, she is a lucky woman. The bullet was a mere inches away from paralyzing her or killing her
They will just parade around Alison Parker’s father, a leftie who goes on TV station after TV station trashing gun owners
Nice to know not every victim is fooled by the media spin.
A sword never kills anybody; it is a tool in the killer’s hand.

And it was apparent to him thousands of years ago.
