Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes released a statement on Tuesday about Donald Trump's renewed war on host Megyn Kelly.
“Donald Trump's surprise and unprovoked attack on Megyn Kelly during her show last night is as unacceptable as it is disturbing. Megyn Kelly represents the very best of American journalism and all of us at FOX News Channel reject the crude and irresponsible attempts to suggest otherwise.”

On Tuesday morning Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade fired back, saying Trump is "out of control." At least 10 separate Fox News personalities publically rebuked Trump before noon on Tuesday, evidence that no one is being told to be nice to Trump from the powers that be.

If you want to be treated like a candidate running for the most powerful office in the land world, then act like one. You do not make yourself look better by making someone else look lesser. This is advice parents always teach their children, but you're almost 70 and have yet to learn this. Show some discipline. Step away from your twitter account, employ someone who will teach you how to conduct yourself as an adult with class, and then study, study, study all the things you will need to know about how to bring your ideas to fruition within the structure of the Constitution.
P.S. Also, a speech coach would be an excellent investment for you. Try to find someone who can help you think and speak in a linear fashion and who can help you replace your incessant bragging with substantive content.

I don’t know about unacceptable but it was stupid and unnecessary. The fight is over, Donald, and you won. Sniping at Megyn now just makes you look petty and playground childish.
It is this sort of behavior that we worry about in supporting you.
As for vilifying Fox News for defending Megyn, that’s stupid as well. Remember how Obama and the left hates Fox News? That’s for a reason. In spite of some of their personalities who are objectionable, they are still the most fair and balanced news outlet.
Ailes was a conservative 25 years ago. But Murdoch pays him 25-30 million a year, and that buys a lot of beer!

Trump Responds to Ailes
UPDATE (1:37 p.m.):
In a statement, Trump said he “totally disagrees” with Ailes and said he does not think Kelly is a “quality journalist”:
“I totally disagree with the FOX statement. I do not think Megyn Kelly is a quality journalist. I think her questioning of me, despite all of the polls saying I won the debate, was very unfair. Hopefully in the future I will be proven wrong and she will be able to elevate her standards to a level of professionalism that a network such as FOX deserves. “ Trump said.
Trump said that what’s more improtant are his high poll numbers.
“More importantly, I am very pleased to see the latest polls from Public Policy Polling showing me at a strong number one with 35% in New Hampshire, the Monmouth University poll showing me, again at number one, with 30% in South Carolina and the latest national poll from Gravis where I am again the clear front runner with 40%. It was also just announced that I won the prestigious corn kernel poll at the Iowa State Fair by a landslide,” he added. “I will be in Iowa tonight with my speech being live on CNN and other networks. My sole focus in running for the Presidency is to Make America Great Again!”

Kelly is a tv personality. She was snarky. Trump is a presidential candidate. I love it when he says things that outrage the left and the leftist press and even the mainstream GOP, but I don’t like it when he enters into a silly cat fight with Megyn Kelly. It’s beneath him.
