By REENA FLORES CBS NEWS June 28, 2015 GOP Gov.: "Time To Move On" From Same-Sex Marriage
Possible Republican presidential candidate and Ohio Gov. John Kasich believes it's "time to move on" from the same-sex marriage issue in the wake of the Supreme Court's landmark ruling.
"I do believe in traditional marriage and the court has ruled and it's time to move on," Kasich said on CBS' "Face the Nation" Sunday, adding that there's "so many other things now that we have to focus on."
Gov. John Kasich talks issues ahead of possible 2016 run Kasich, who has not yet officially announced a bid for the White House in 2016, believes the country needs to wait and see "how this evolves."
"I think everybody needs to take a deep breath to see how this evolves," the Ohio governor, who was the named defendant in the original lawsuit brought by Jim Obergefell over same-sex marriage, said. "But I know this. Religious institutions, religious entities - you know, like the Catholic church - they need to be honored as well. I think there's an ability to strike a balance."
But while the Republican governor has conceded that "it's the law of the land and we'll abide by it," some in the conservative wing have expressed their willingness to take on the same-sex marriage fight over the long term.
Same-sex marriage opponent: conservative beliefs need to be respected Russell Moore of the Southern Baptist Convention told CBS' "Face the Nation" that people of faith "are not going to simply surrender" their traditional marriage views because of the Supreme Court ruling.
"We didn't make up our views on marriage and sexuality, and we can't unmake them," Moore said Sunday.

The Constitution grants the Congress the authority to remove / change jurisdiction of federal courts - including the SCOTUS. All that is required to defeat the faggots is to make the SCOTUS irrelevant on the matter of marriage.
I’ll “move on” from not just the GOP, but America itself before before I’ll ever “move on” from standing up against this evil cultural depravity.
I’ve moved on from Gary Condit’s Eskimo Bro Kasich.
No true conservative would ignore social conservatives the way Kasich just did.
He is a nothing but a pitchman for the libs.
Well said.
I think Republicans should say the same about the same sex marriage decision.
Kasich is a Pathetic RINO MORON!!!
Hey NEWBIE....go back to DU!! This is a CONSERVATIVE, PRO-FAMILY site!!! Go AWAY, TROLL!!
Whzt;s the “eskimo” reference??
When vice becomes virtue there is no decency in a society. Who here will sacrifice blood sweat and tears to support such destruction of civilization?
Kasich is an absolute embarrassment, even worse than Jebbie.
GROSS!!! Which female??? Chandra Levy?? Or the DEAD girl in Joe Scarborough’s office??
Let’s put it this way, the media would salivate over having Kasich as the GOP nominee and unearth his sexcapades in the ‘80s and ‘90s in DC along with his VERY close partner-in-crime Gary Condit. He’s a world-class creep.

In the 1990s, John Kasich and Gary Condit were infamous for taking advantage of vulnerable, young interns.

Who was the HAPPIEST person on 9-11-2001??? Gary Condit and his friend Kasich.
Curiously, Kasich exited Congress in Jan 2001. He had wanted to run for President in 2000 but his candidacy went bust early on (he had hopes that Dole would’ve picked him for VP in ‘96, which would’ve meant it would be “his turn” in 2000... and we know how that would’ve turned out: Hello, President Manbearpig). It’s funny that on Wikipedia of all places, a good friend of Kasich’s called him “A biological Democrat.” Those are the worst sort, no morals and no ethics.
And I am conservative and pro-family, too.
Time to “move on” from Gay-sick.
“This is the kind of GOP rhetoric that has republicans flocking to Trump.”
Flocking to the guy who said the exact same thing?
Well, *that* certainly makes sense.
