Fox News responded with a sharply worded statement on Friday night.
"The conspiracy theories about Megyn Kelly's vacation rank up there with UFO's, the moon landing and Elvis being alive," a network spokeswoman said. "Megyn is on a pre-planned, annual summer vacation with her family, which is much deserved. To imply otherwise as Donald Trump and his campaign operatives have is not only wildly irresponsible, but downright bizarre."
The spokeswoman added, "Perhaps Mr. Trump thinks it's advantageous to his poll numbers to keep talking about Megyn, but that doesn't change the fact that Roger Ailes has fully supported her and her tough journalistic questioning since day one and is thrilled with the added exposure from the debate, which resulted in even higher ratings of 'The Kelly File' this week."
Kelly talked on Wednesday's program about how she hasn't had a real vacation for six months. She'll be back on August 24.

Despite the negative substance of this thread, it seems to me that Trump is receiving a great deal of positive coverage on FOX News in the last few days- he’s all over Fox.
All of which means The Donald was right.

And what little I’ve heard Trump say was in response to being asked if he thought the tiff with Megyn during the debate had anything to do with her taking 10 days off. He’s hardly been making a dig deal about it.
Someone should put on a ‘Trump 2016’ t-shirt and follow Megyn around on her ‘vacation’.
Fox wants to emphasize the term “conspiracy theory” in relation to Trump. Conspiracy theory is a pejorative term that is used to smear someone in the political correctness lexicon. Something like that is normally called a public relations strategy.
Why pull your “star” away when they are all over the media? People are watching to see what she does and says like never before.
There is something buried on this gal that is going to come to light and it won’t be pretty. It is not the Howard Stern interview but something else. Whatever it is Trump knows it.
Love Trump or hate him, he is stripping naked all the hypocrites and a$$holes in politics and the media. I submit that this is a very well planned out thing trump is doing. He didn’t just jump in to all of this without a plan.
I love how he has made himself a target then turns right around and slugmouths whoever takes a shot at him.
He is sucking all the air out of the campaign and there is nothing (so far) the aforementioned hypocrites and a$$holes can do about it. It is driving them all insane. I hope Trump peels back the Republican Party from the top, takes over and fires the lot of them. They, like almost everyone else cannot survive the light of day.
It is obvious that Trump and Cruz are working together in some way. Cruz is without a doubt a genius. He is one of the smartest people around. Trump is no dummy either.
This is all the most fun thing to watch I have seen in my lifetime. It can only get better as Hillary is put aside and Biden and please please please Al Gore jumps in. I’m super serial!
It’s really looking shakey for Megyn. When Ailes said he stood behind her 100% I thought she was on thin ice. And now for them to pump out this denial when nobody had even asked about it, I think it’s looking dire.
But, no sweat. She was bucking for the gig as Jebby’s press secretary, anyhow.....

Looking back at Fox's debate show, was like seeing a really bad accident. Everyone quickly gawks at it, causing most to wince and then turn away.

Trump is one very bright guy but has never been the one doing the work of politicians or lawyers. Cruz can help him with that.
