In what may be the most important development in the 2016 Presidential race to date, Donald Trump has announced, and Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) office has confirmed, that the GOP front-runner is consulting with the Alabama Senator in crafting his immigration plan for the future of America.
The real estate moguls announcement will send shock waves through Washington D.C. and all across primary states.
Trump, whose campaign has focused primarily on issues of immigration and trade, has seen a meteoric rise since entering the race, with throngs of supporters across the country rocketing him to the top of every single poll, despite an extraordinary effort of establishment Republicans to take him down. Republican pundits have lobbed every imaginable accusation at Trump. Yet these same pundits, while seemingly furious at the man, have demonstrated no similar concern, angst, or passion about the dissolution of our southern border, the rampant exploitation of guest-worker programs, the collapse of middle class wages, and the growing illegal immigrant crime wave.

Dr C admitted to knowing Mr T for years. He said he was one of the kindest, most courteous, generous men he knew and his public persona is nothing like the private person
I picked up on the relationship with a short glimpse of C after he spoke of Alinsky while T was deflecting an Alinsky attack.
Ben and his wife are making great strides in inner city with their version of Black lives matter: education - black vs black and the real purpose of PP
Remember Mr T saying he will take black and Hispanic vote. Enter C & C
NB, love your posts, but Trump said something in his MI speech that I have yet to hear from anyone else. “You’ll be so proud to be Americans.” I’m surprised that I’m the only one who caught it. I like Cruz and I hope he gets the VP slot.
Exactly!
Someone already said it.. "good move."
Meaningless.
Cruz has to win first, and unless Trump is in through Florida , he won’t.
“That is what Reagan did. Find the best people, give them marching orders, take a nap. If they don’t do the job, fire them and find someone who will. Then go take a nap.”
Exactly right. However, Trump never sleeps, so he’ll be doubly dangerous, lol.
I’m of the opinion that the “old” political rules might not apply this time in the GOP nomination process. If that happens you can thank the “Mitch & John” show in the republican controlled house & senate.....we shall see. Like I mentioned before, though I’m with Cruz, his numbers in most every poll in the last several years have been lackluster, at best. He just has not caught on.
Two men evidently disagreed with George Bush's decision about Iraq, Barack Obama and Donald Trump. Brack Obama was right for the wrong reasons. I have no idea why Donald Trump was right.
John F. Kennedy at the time of the Cuban missile crisis in 1962 decided he wanted his brother to be among his closest advisers because he did not trust the national security experts, many of whom had earlier assured him that the Bay of Pigs would be successful.
We do not elect presidents to parrot what they are told by experts, we expect them to exercise judgment in selecting the experts in the first place and wisdom in evaluating their recommendations in the crunch. We knew what kind of advisers Ronald Reagan would get because he had a coherent political philosophy, a conservative philosophy. Yet, Reagan at Reykjavík had to walk away from the near unanimous advice of his wise men. God knows what kind of philosophy Donald Trump has or whom he will choose to surround himself with. We do not know what fundamental principles Donald Trump will engage when called upon to act wisely in evaluating the recommendations of his so-called experts.
I think that's it, in a nutshell.
So many millions of Americans have kept faith with the promise of the Framers, but have watched helplessly as class after class of their supposed "conservative leaders" have proven to have much greater allegiance to Power, and the almighty Buck, than the timeless Principles which undergird the real power and promise of this nation.
Conservatism, you say? What is that, but hewing to those hard won lessons that humans have learned the hard way, through eons of struggle to survive? It's nothing more than common sense. The simple understanding of that which works, as opposed to that which doesn't.
Does Donald Trump operate within the wisdom of common human experience? You bet he does. It's why he's been so successful in his business endeavors over the last few decades. The man is smart enough to see what's plainly before his eyes, which, oddly enough, seems to be an extraordinary skill in this era.
He's poisonous to the GOP-e. They're attempting to sell the American people a lie - much as their 'friends on the other side of the aisle' are doing. He exposes the putrid falsehoods promulgated by these cretins, who would deign to trick us into thinking they have our best interests at heart, when they do not.
The man has lived the example he's pitching to the rest of us. He's worked hard, and has reaped the reward for giving it his all.
You bet we admire that. It's a huge subset of the support he's drawing at this time. Americans recognize a hard working man when they see one, and applaud the success of one of their own who's 'made it' the right way.
Bottom line, there are few candidates who can even hope to compete with, or equal, the core American principles and standards that this man represents.
Recall that Trump had a closed door meeting with Ted Cruz a number of weeks ago. Donald is scary brilliant when it comes to high stakes games like this, and knows to ally himself with the best talent in the business he’s seeking to conquer.
Dead on target, my friend. Our nation has been overrun with legal AND illegal immigration for far too long. The American people have completely had it, and recognize that we're now being colonized by foreign cultures.
It's the winning issue of 2016, and Trump has seized the core of it.
if you think I am hard on Donald Trump, they believe he is a maniac. They have almost no knowledge of any other candidate except Hillary. They still for the most part like Barack Obama, but of course less so than when the honeymoon was on.
The weaker America appears on the world stage, the more the jackals gather. I would love to have a president like Ronald Reagan. Every time I am have an argument with them I remind them how they opposed Ronald Reagan and nearly prevented him with Maggie and John Paul from winning the Cold War.
Thanks for the insight...
What is the calculus on the electoral college status of New York if Trump becomes the candidate...?
Seems to me he has a lot of good favor in NY
This might shake things up somewhat.
So What? I’m pretty sure he’s a stalking horse for Hillary, a liberal Trojan horse, a mouse in the attic, a dog in the garage. Ask carraway seed.
bttt
They have reached a political consensus in the UK on immigration, i.e., it must be reduced. It started with one of the minor parties that used the slogan, British jobs for British workers. We should start talking about American jobs for American workers. Let the Dems be the party of mass immigration and amnesty. They will lose.
So, you are in Germany?
Expect him to soon start emphasizing the damage of legal immigration in the coming months. Americans will resonate to it just as strongly as they've resonated to the issue of illegal immigration.
Frankly, we all feel our national identity slipping away, so the alarm is real. The moment is ripe for a leader of real character to stand up and say what most citizens are thinking.
I'm praying for it!
