Donald Trump Defends Planned Parenthood, Calls Abortions 'Small Part of What They Do'

Donald Trump suggested that he would not support ending taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood's non-abortion services in two interviews Tuesday.

"We have to help women," Trump told Fox News' Sean Hannity in an interview that aired on Tuesday night. " So we have to look at the positives, also, for Planned Parenthood."

Trump said he opposes federal grants going towards Planned Parenthood's abortion practices, but noted that abortions make up a "small part" of the organization. ...

Trump appeared to support shutting down the government rather than fund Planned Parenthood in an interview last week. "Asked directly by conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt if its worth shitting down the federal government to strip Planned Parenthood's $528 million in government funding, Trump replied, 'I would,'" Politico reported.

Planned Parenthood released a statement Tuesday lauding Trump's comments, urging Republicans to "reconsider their extreme and unpopular positions on defunding preventative care" and "abortion bans." ...

What? He still wants to give taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood. This allows them to budget more of their resources for abortion.

Exactly. Let’s find out first if he wins NH or Iowa, or even grab the official nomination. Other than that....meh. I do like it that he’s sticking it to those assholes from the GOPe.

Trump would have to take all his business dealings and turn it over to someone else to run.

If we are to believe Trump his empire wouldn’t exist without him.

You also need to remember the dems would set out to destroy his empire. Trump as President takes any action to stop it he’s then got himself an impeachable offense.

“There’s two Planned Parenthoods, in a way,” he said. “You have it as an abortion clinic. Now that’s actually a fairly small part of what they do, but it’s a brutal part. And I’m totally against it and I wouldn’t do that. They also, however, service women.” - He’s okay giving the slaughterhouse money because he doesn’t know that abortion is their main service.

Or does he?

I agree, this is what he said - no money while they’re doing abortions,

and if abortions are such a “small percentage of their services”,

then they won’t miss doing them.

He said as long as they are doing abortions no tax money. If they stop the abortions, then he will look at whatever else they say they do for women.

He said last night in his Hannity interview that as long as Planned Parenthood performed abortions they should not be funded.

Listen...we do not need someone who wavers on this issue. The very fact that he is not coming out strong means that he is giving us the standard GOP/DEM (I am against abortion personally, but it is not my place to force others...)

This article was written by an intern in a blog.

I watched the interview and Trump said very clearly that he’ll only fund planned parenthood if they stop doing abortions.

This is the only outcome that will save lives.

You think the DNC doesn’t want Trump up there? He’s their boy.
Donald Trump : January 18 2015 - interview with good old boy Letterman>
A friend of mine was in Scotland recently. He got very, very sick. They took him by ambulance and he was there for four days. He was really in trouble and they released him and he said, ‘Where do I pay?’ And they said, ‘There’s no charge.’ Not only that, he said it was like great doctors, great care. I mean we could have a great system in this

country.”

Letterman: “Are people afraid of socialism?”

Trump: “Well, people are afraid of a lot of things. But it’s mostly incompetence. … How do you spend $5 billion on a website, just the creation of the site itself, and it doesn’t work? … There are things you could do to give unbelievable healthcare and a much better healthcare system. It’s a complicated topic, unfortunately.”

Seems like he’s okay with Socialism and the single payer health care it comes with.

Much like his bestest buddies the Clintons he has aides to speak for him though!

On July 31 2015, a spokesperson for Trump clarified to Forbes that he’s “never supported socialized medicine” but is for “a universal ‘market-based’ plan that would offer a range of choices.

Hah! Basically Obama care to be replaced by Obama care in explanation. Also, flat out lies about Trumps history on views about healthcare.

You’re being suckered with Trump.

What is most disturbing is that so many conservatives do not recognize a confidence man when they see one.

I’ve taken a lot of heat too, but keep driven on, they will awake hopefully before too much longer, if we keep chipping away the fairy dust from their eyes.

That being said I like what he is saying it has been useful, even defended him on occasion, he has given political correctness a pretty good black eye, but his usefulness is wearing thin, (the following words always brings out the heat from those being conned) a useful tool is dangerous when it becomes chipped and dull; know when to set it aside.

In response to post #37;

The point of this is, as the Glenn Beck program pointed out today, is that PP is basically an abortion machine and to get caught up in the... well, they do lots of other stuff and yada, yada, yada... is to fall for the lie that PP spins.

PP is basically an abortion machine

Aside from that they make referrals and hand out pamphlets warning of the horrors of children who get in the way.

An elderly widow in Atlantic City,in 2011 could tell you all about Trumps abuse of eminent domain. The woman, Vera Coking, had owned property near the Trump Plaza Hotel for three decades, and didn’t want to move. Trump thought the land was better suited for use as a park, a parking lot, and a waiting area for limousines.

She got her 90 days notice and an offer for 251k despite her clear wishes to stay there.

Oh the memories!

Ah, attack the messenger!

So when one types in the words “Trump Planned Parenthood small part of what they do,” and gets articles from the Weekly Standard, LifeSite, Lifenews, Washington Times and other conservative outlets then they are also just written by an intern at a blog, too, right? LOL.

BTW, here’s the article from The Washington Times, 8/12/2015:

Donald Trump: ‘We have to look at the positives, also, for Planned Parenthood’

The positives? What positives?

That or we get in Walker who hates abortion but is kind of restricted on what he can do in his state, but could keep his pen dry on matters of spending nationally for Planned Parenthood. Or Cruz, same thing only he’s a Senator, but only one Senator, could also choose not to sign any spending bill funding the Nazi vessel that is Planned Parenthood.
