"I am struggling to figure out why this is news. Millions go on vacation each year but I haven’t seen it go nuts about something like this. Good grief, is that what this country has become? So hooked on these types of people that we have to talk about them going on vacation?"

Not on "Immediate vacation". That is lipstick for "leave of absence". Apologies if you left off the /SARC tag.

FWIW ... what they are doing is masking her ratings dip by limiting it to occurring only a couple of days with her on air. All the rest of the days the dip will be accountable to whatever guest host there is.

It's the smart play. What happens later is the question.. That is lipstick for

Give it a break.

She was not “giddy” when Obama was reelected.

She has grilled Obama’s people and his polices since 2007.

In addition this, “she was for Romney, ergo she was bad BS.”

Romney was the MORE conservative candidate in the 2012 General, Obama was the more liberal. She hates Obama.

The “Romney wasn’t conservative enough” cry is still far off base. The reality is that on the morning after the 2012 General, either Obama or Romney was going to be elected. That is reality.

Sitting it out helped re-elect Obama.

She gets it right about 95% of the time.

Remember Ronald Reagan:

“My old boss Ronald Reagan used to say, ‘Somebody who agrees with me 80 percent of the time is a friend and ally, not a 20 percent traitor,’” said Haley Barbour, a one-time Reagan political aide, in 1993. The saying means that no one agrees with everyone on everything; some disagreements are to be expected, but do not “take your ball and run home” when you do not get everything you want.”

Trump is one of the kindest, most thoughtful and generous man I know.

He said "Donald Trump is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life."

“A family vacation isn’t one of them.”

Yes, of course, a sudden “family vacation”. To save a few bucks on airfare on Wednesday.

Dan Rather — a great but wronged journalist.

Brian Williams, just a bit of a break.

“Clinton wasn’t really impeached because he wasn’t REMOVED” say many leftist freaks.

Thank you — too funny!

We are facing a true crisis. Yet doing the same thing Megyn did in the debate is apparently the choice of many.

Besides griping at others on FR, what are YOU doing about the "true crisis"? What have YOU accomplished by complaining here?

The ignoring of these issues and the navel gazing regarding such inane matters points to a middle school/junior high mentality.

The higher-educated comments of a freshman or sophomore.

Here, let me help you by restating what was said so that it might possibly penetrate in:

“All conservatives loved it when she was the only journalist who showed America what low-life scum Bill Ayers and Ward Churchill are.”

Just because someone did something right once or twice doesn’t mean they are always right.
Example: Ann Coulter and her laughable support of Mitt Romney and stating he was a conservative.
Mitt never was conservative, ever, and never will be.
But your premise contained here: “All conservatives loved it when she was the only journalist who showed America what low-life scum Bill Ayers and Ward Churchill are” would have us believe that someone that is right on one or two things is always right.
That is not the case.

Well I go rat bunnies over “awesome”. Everything is not awesome. Wow hat an awesome sunset.”, an awesome cat, an awesome car, that’s awesome. Winston Churchill must be flipping over in his grave. That would be awesome to see.
Whatever is another catch phase.

I would bet anything that Zero % of the “So what — she’s just taking a family vacation in August on a Wednesday to save airfare” posters have visited the comments on her Facebook page since “Trump insulted her”.

Still LMFAO.

Hilarious that it very quickly became a nonissue.

I didn’t know she broke the story! No wonder Trump made that statement about her not liking him. It sounded like something prior to the debate, but didn’t know where it came from.

it was Stern who called Trump and told him about Kelly's raunchy 2010 interview on his show, which pissed Trump off even more.

I have never listened to Stern's radio show because of its reputation for raunch. But I have watched him for years on America's Got Talent, on which he is a judge. On that show, he conducts himself warmly and appropriately for a family-oriented audience, and is usually much kinder and more supportive of hopeful contestants than Simon Cowell ever was. He often mentions his mother and once I saw him have her call in to the show. You would never guess he is a shock jock if that is the only place you have ever seen him.

My point being, he has a working knowledge of decent conduct, and must have prioritized either his friendship with Trump or his sense of fair play over his slavering interview with Megyn Kelly.

Worst case, Stern gambled that publicizing the mutually prurient interview would bring his radio show more audience attention. What he felt no need to do was protect the wilting flower whose knights in shining armor used their 15 minutes of fame by focusing outrage on her private bodily functions never mentioned by Trump. The accusers believe they are mind readers who can declare absolutely that he was referring to her in that way, in the absence of any evidence. This is the Soviet gulags on primetime.
