I have tried to give a great deal of latitude to Donald Trump in his run for the Presidency.
He is not a professional politician and is known for being a blunt talker. He connects with so much of the anger in the Republican base and is not afraid to be outspoken on a lot of issues. But there are even lines blunt talkers and unprofessional politicians should not cross.
Decency is one of those lines.
As much as I do personally like Donald Trump, his comment about Megyn Kelly on CNN is a bridge too far for me.
In a CNN interview, Mr. Trump said of Megyn Kelly, You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.
It was not the blood coming out of her eyes part that was the problem.

I think that is true. And Ive been very sympathetic to Donald Trump because so many of the people who have led the party astray refuse to even treat him as a legitimate candidate.
But I also think that while Mr. Trump resonates with a lot of people with his bluntness, including me to a degree, there are just real lines of decency a person running for President should not cross.
His comment was inappropriate. It is unfortunate to have to disinvite him. But I just dont want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal. It just was wrong.
I have invited Megyn Kelly to attend in Donald Trumps place tomorrow night.

Erik has joined the loser crowd.
So, 30% of his income from hits and ads.
Ban postings of his on FR.
Hit him where it hurts.
The guy is “not” conservative. An enemy. A friend to political correctness. Knee cap him.
Super easy to hurt the income on this guy.
Another Trump hit piece by you? Erick Erickson is a nobody. Maybe he’s trying for a spot on FNC. Kiss Megyn Kelly’s butt and you might get one Eric.
This means that we cannot know what he truly thinks on any issue, because his loutish blather is meant for public consumption as a cover for a hidden agenda. Hence, we must take his past actions as truer indication of his intentions, including liberal immigration, socialized medicine, and abortion on demand. He may be no friend of criminal illegals, but that doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate low-cost illegal aliens as cleaning ladies and groundskeepers in his hotels and golf courses with entitlements to healthcare and education as taxed from the middle class, and with them their relatives.
Dream on you dupes for Donald, you'll be bending over when the time comes.
I went to the site and hit the contact ling to send an email describing what I think of Erik....
Jagoff!
EE got attention as a radio talk show host in Atlanta after McCain’s defeat, being touted by Rush Limbaugh and American Spectator (Emmett Tyrrell). It has been apparent for a while (long before now) that EE is a water carrier for the Bush-Rove gang.
Another fraud playing the non-threatening white male but tough talking conservative. Ho Hum
Erickson is already a paid FOX contributor. Has been for a while.
Erick Erickson is a solid conservative and while I don’t agree with him on a lot of points it’s his party and he gets to, just like Jim Robinson, decide who attends. He’s zotted Trump and that’s a good thing.
Trump’s a Trojan Horse who’s job it is to hurt the GOP such that a Democrat wins the Presidency. Now, the GOP has hurt itself immensely and he’s using those fault lines to destroy its chances in 2016. He works hard to alienate half the electorate.
Kelly and Fox have done yeoman’s work for us. The questions they asked are just the kind of gotcha questions the MSM is going to ask. Only now, our candidate can say, “Asked and answered” and move on. Those roiling because Fox didn’t soft boil the debate questions are strategically and tactically ignorant of basic politics.
What is true is that come January 2017 America will seat a President. That President better be a Republican after 8 years of destruction at the hands of Obama. No matter what that person won’t be Donald Trump.
You must not have read very well:
While he was in office, Macon police officers considered forming a union. To counter the formation of the labor union, Erickson urged that the police department be dissolved.[13]
Sounds like he was doing what many FReepers call for: keeping government small and focused and holding cops accountable.
No he’s Georgia based and runs Red State. He’s been developing a very high opinion of himself lately.
Truthfully, it sounded to me like a rehash of a joke he had made about some woman at some other time, in what he thought was a clever way of implying that she was “OTR”.
But I think it has enough plausible denial it that the Red State move is pretty bogus, and just looks like an excuse to try to dump on Trump.
> “But I could be wrong.”
But you’re not.
Talks like a lefty
Acts like a lefty
Must be a lefty
...masquerading as a conservative
This type of stuff invites Trump to run as an independent.
Eric Erickson has always made me sick.
Maybe but he still smells funny to me.
Erick, I had no respect for Kelly before the debate. Her behavior during the debate was embarrassing and difficult to watch. Can’t stand anything about her now.
