Red State’s Erick Erickson dis-invited GOP presidential candidate and businessman Donald Trump after he insulted Fox News anchor and Thursday night’s debate moderator Megyn Kelly during a CNN interview Friday night.
I have rescinded my invitation to Mr.Trump. While I have tried to give him great latitude, his remark about Megyn Kelly was a bridge too far — Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) August 8, 2015
“Well I just don’t respect her as a journalist. I have no respect for her. I think she’s highly overrated. But when I came out there what was I doing I’m not getting paid for this. I go out there. And you know they start saying lift up. And you know I didn’t know there would be 24 million people I figured but I knew it was going to be a big crowd because I get big crowds I get ratings they call me the ratings machine so I have you know she she gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions,” Trump said to CNN’s Don Lemon.
He went further saying, “And you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes blood coming out of her — whatever. She was in my opinion — she was off-base. And by the way, not in my opinion, in the opinion of hundreds of thousands of people on Twitter because it has been a brutal day. In one way a great day for Fox. in another day in the Twitter sphere it’s been very bad because she’s been very badly criticized. She’s a lightweight. I couldn’t care less about her.”

I’ve definitely read a few things at Red State I did not agree with.
I think I was reading Red State comes out of Townhall.
These people need to focus on the issues and not these side issues.
So why are people bashing Rush today? I’m confused.

Erik Erikson is a big government GOPe establishment loving RINO anyhow.
The likelihood of Trump making the reference that so incited his detractors is so small as to be irrelevant - I wasn’t even aware of why his references supposedly related to her “being on the rag” so I can easily see where it didn’t cross his mind either - he’s proved he’s not stupid and making that sort of reference would be stupid....
Maybe because Rush uses him on occasion as a sub?

Erickson was banning Trump supporters from Red State BEFORE any comment about Kelly by Trump.
He ran to liberal rag WaPo to disinvite Trump.
Erickson is outing himself as an careerist establishment hack, IMO.
And Erickson invited Megyn Kelly in Trump’s place. Erickson and Red State need to do some bleeding of their own over this decision. A stick in the eye needs to be returned ten fold.
Looks like Erickson and RedState do the bidding of the GOPe.

Yeah, and Mr. Erickson often speaks of his Christian faith and is actively furthering his religious beliefs via formal education in a seminary somewhere in the Macon/Atlanta area.
Me thinks Mr. Erickson needs to impart the wisdom of the Holy Spirit in dealing with matters as such. It seems he is unaware the urgent nature of the issues this nation faces.
He is also a big amnesty whore.
Seems he just outed himself as a two-faced RINO with his faith much like that of Jimmy Carter.

I agree with you. Why would you waste a question like that when our country has so many other issues created by the Liar in Chief and his surrogates? She should’ve used the limited time to ask questions of substance, not democrat like setup questions. She’s embarrassing. I ain’t watching her show anymore.
We need new ideas and a tough messenger to deliver them.
I’m not a Trump supporter but I’ve said the GOPe is trying to destroy Trump and take him out.
This is more evidence of that loud and clear in this situation. There are of groups and people who front for the Republican Establishment but pretend to be conservative and or “self hating” conservatives who talk tough but then urge us to support RINO’s at election time.
I’m not being sucked into that stuff anymore.
