The FBI is reported to be investigating bombs that exploded minutes apart at two Las Cruces, New Mexico churches Sunday morning.

Jim did say to tone down the inter-denominational quarreling.
Didn’t think it would go this far though.
LOL
Might be Mexican Cartels.
Like in Garland?
I have attended Calvary Baptist a few times with friends who live there. They are a no-nonsense conservative church that boldly teaches Gods Word.
I would think either the homos or anti-lifers. I doubt the media will disclose either once it is determined. Doesn’t seem like it was a very large device from the description. Somebody venting their liberalism?
Since the explosions were small and no one was hurt, until something else develops, and since it is in Las Cruces, not really a hub for radicalism of any kind I’m going to classify this as just a Really Stupid Adolescent Prank.
That said...
The supposed ISIS training camp / infiltration center in Mexico is supposed to be not far south of Las Cruces, and if so, then these could have been training runs for future serious attacks.
“these could have been training runs for future serious attacks.”
That’s a scary thought. Did the WTC guys do training runs? I doubt a ‘lone wolf’ would bother with a training run, so if indeed it is training, it probably is well thought out and could be substantial.
Let’s hope it was punks with 2liter bottles or something. There’s prolly plenty of fireworks still left over from last month as well. But the placement of both sites is disturbing. Someone prolly has a grudge, at the minimum.
Reminds me of the night, 48 years ago when we set off our last packet of firecrackers at the local church school, in September. Raining cats and dogs. very late at night.
POP POP POP POP POP! Boy did the lights come on as we hi-tailed it out of there!
Muslims, I assume.
>Wow...finally something on FR that can bring Baptists and Catholics together!
Of course I’m sure there will be some doctrinal issue to argue over...<
Yes don’t post this on the “Religious Forum”. The fighting will start about the 10th post.
Prayers for the parishioners at these Catholic and Baptist Churches.
Understand that in New Mexico- huge fireworks that go seriously ‘boom’ are legally available year-round. No casualties, front-doorstep and mailbox bombings suggest to me God-hater leftists. Probably the younger set. Muzzie tangoes would have made it count.

When?
>Prayers for the parishioners at these Catholic and Baptist Churches.<
Amen. At Mass this morning I was completely focused. Never once did it cross my mind to worry about a bomb, or even someone with a gun.
Times are definitely changing.
Thank God no one was hurt at either Church.

I wouldn’t regard muslims as followers of liberalism. They may seem to warm to it as it furthers the destruction of American individualism and capitalism, but once they realize they no longer need it, liberals, homosexuals, anarchists, etc., will not even be considered the dhimmi. I suspect we’d see a bloodbath such as we’d never known.
Thats liberalism (modern) by definition. Use and discard.

Unless I am reading too much into his post, that is what I took it to mean. Sometimes our religious disputes become unproductive distractions to areas we can agree and work together.
However, my comment about the bombs was intended to be tongue-in-cheek. I do not think our interdenominational spats have escalated to violence.
Besides, if a Catholic starts throwing sticks of dynamite at me, I might just light them and throw them back.
jk

The reason:
If you really want to irritate someone, point out something obvious they are trying hard to ignore.
Discussing the issues was upsetting people.
