A Veterans Affairs psychiatrist walked back a comment he made on Facebook Tuesday in which he told a gun rights supporter to off yourself.
Gregg Gortons Facebook page says he is both a professor of psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and a staff psychiatrist at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he has worked for 11 years, WCAU-TV reported.
Gorton was responding to another online user who posted a comment in favor of more people owning guns. The original Facebook status was also posted by an apparent gun rights supporter, the Military Times reported.
This is why I always carry my 45. I am all for gun control, the user commented. If there is a gun in the room, I want to be in control of it. I do commend you on your efforts and hope you continue trying to take away our rights. Because of you people more and more Americans are buying guns. Thank you. Hopefully you idiots will get more and more attention so that more and more people will buy guns.
Gorton responded bluntly: off yourself, please.

Perhaps he and the poaching dentist can go on tour.
I’ve noticed a trend in the “medical community” over the past 10 years or so that they love asking ownership questions.
And if you refuse to answer, they assume....Yes....they “own”.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

This is one of the death panel doctors who will implement th plan.
The Left always telegraphs their punches.
“And if you refuse to answer, they assume....Yes....they own.”
Actually there is a 3rd category for those that refuse to answer: “Armed and potentially dangerous”
Had my physical yesterday and the doctor asked me if I felt safe at home and almost apologized saying it was part of Affordable Care Act. Told him I felt threatened by the crap on TV and the politicians. He sat there and typed away.
I wonder what is the best answer to those stupid questions they ask at the doctor’s office.
Just tell them you don’t. It’s none of their business in the first place and they can’t check in the second place - simple.
Better yet, find another doctor - one who has guns.
Why rabid libs shouldn’t own guns....they can’t exercise self control. Also why social media is an arrest/divorce/job firing, waiting to happen. Why put your life and good name out there for all to see and criticize
The question about safe at home predates OCare. Has been going on for probably 20 years in response to domestic violence situations. OCare may be more strict in enforcing it.
I answered “none of your effin’ business” and my doctor laughed. She is very pro-second amendment and shares my concerns about all these new medical databases. Fortunately I have only a few more years left on this wretched planet...
The best answer is to lie your a** off to every question; quite frankly none of it is any of their business.
Lie and tell them you have nothing. You are not under oath and there is no penalty for lying......yet.
> I wonder what is the best answer to those stupid questions they ask at the doctors office.
A knowing smirk
V.I. Lenin said When you live among wolves you must howl like a wolf,
“The best answer is to lie your a** off to every question; quite frankly none of it is any of their business.”
Absolutely. Any answer other than “no” means yes.
That’s why I always say “no.”
If the doctor asks about owning guns at home, ask him if he’s asking the question because he’s just following orders.
Lie and tell them you have nothing. You are not under oath and there is no penalty for lying......yet.
If the Taqqiyers can do it with impunity and approval from the president so can I...Its way past time for civil disobedience. The mask came off in 2012 and he's going for the throat so I don't care how many more laws or regulations he puts on the books.
Maybe our very own "drop dead idiot" pastor should join them!
