When will Jim banish Trump supporters from FR, like he did with Giuliani advocates? [JR @ 305]
one man's opinion...

On 4/23/2007, Jim Robinson posted a manifesto, "Giuliani as the GOP presidential nominee would be a dagger in the heart of the conservative movement" (and a knife in the back) . The thread was subtitled, "The only difference in a Liberal Rudy Giuliani and Liberal Hillary Clinton is the fact of which bathrooms they select to use and there are some who are willing to even question that.

Jim [w]as a Democrat until 2000. Whats your point? You mean the boss? Really? That strains credulity. What's the source for that assertion?

I registered as a democrat when I was a young man. Just never got around to correcting the error. I actually enjoyed writing to my democrat senators as a democrat and giving them hell.

I found it way back when everyone was on AOL and AOL had chat rooms called From the Right and From the Left. I hung out for longer than I should have in From the Right, met someone there who told me about FR. I considered it for awhile and then one day decided to investigate it more thoroughly. It doesnt take long to get hooked. That sounds like the late nineties. My wife and I were sharing our very first home computer back then, and I was a long way off from discovering political forums.
Eventually, I became aware of a few good forums via links in posts at my old biker forum. Bikers tend to be a conservative/patriotic lot, so the path to places like FR was easy.
I know what you mean about getting hooked on FR. I briefly hung out at one or two competing forums but soon found myself spending most of my reading time at FR. Something about the website layout - the people - the stridently patriotic tone of the owner - altogether, it was a combination that was just right.
I've taken breaks from the forum on occasion. I think a lot of people do. It's addicting, but sometimes being exposed to so much high grade info and opinion can cause an overdose. One has to step outside and get some fresh air before returning.

I didn’t change my Democrat registration until sometime in the late nineties, even though I’d completely given up on the Dems during Clinton’s first term.

I dont like Democratic and usually call people out on it.Since words, phrases and even capitalization convey meaning, here are a few self-imposed standards I've adopted:
- I always capitalize "Conservative" (showing respect) and use lowercase for "liberal".
- Likewise, I use "God" with an uppercase 'G' but use lowercase for "satan", the leader of liberals.
- As noted elsewhere, "DemonRAT", "DemonKKKrat" and variants are terms that I prefer to use for the party of treason. I eschew "Democratic" since it gives the 'RATs too much respect.
- Often I refer to Our Land as a "Republic" to emphasize the principles upon which it was founded.
- My preferred term for sexual deviants is "sodomite" and on occaasion, "homosexual". I make a concerted point to never use "gay" for those types. I often point out to those using "gay" in reference to that abomination that sodomites have hijacked that word and have on occasion shocked more than a few FReepers when I speak with fond memory of my five decade-long "gay marriage" (my wife passed on to Heaven in 2004 where I hope to be reunited with her).
- And always I use hussein to refer to the illegal occupant at 1600 Pennsylvania. That's designed to emphasize both his moose-slime "faith" and his foreignness.
Yes, they're admittedly little things (maybe even a bit quirky) but I loathe atheistic liberalism in all forms.

I love your self-imposed standards.
I used to go by the FReeper name RAT Patrol. Remember back when the ‘RATs were accusing candidate W of creating subliminal messages in his commercials? They accused him of subliminally calling them RATS. LOL! They are such a ridiculous bunch.

You still don't get it. I am 100% for Ted Cruz, but I will back Donald Trump against the GOPe and the mainstream media any day. A lot of people on FR are defending Trump because he is effectively taking on The three biggest threats to this country 1. The really evil mainstream media. 2. The GOPe 3. The open borders that is allowing the unhinged controlled flow of hordes of Mexican, Guatemalan etc killers and criminals of all sorts. This is not about Trump being conservative. We know what his history is. It's about Trump being an effective fighter against our mortal enemies.Perfect, Smokin' Joe. You said it so much better than I ever could.

I registered as a democrat when I was a young man. Just never got around to correcting the error. I actually enjoyed writing to my democrat senators as a democrat and giving them hell. If it's any consolation, I too went rogue back in the early 1960s and -- believe it or not -- actually joined the NAACP! That was a real eye-opener for me because after I recommitted my life to Christ and transferred from a liberal government school to a Christian college, I then saw -- firsthand -- how far left that racist outfit was (and is). Marxism and communism were embraced by the NAACP. They're vile people. The stories I could tell about the NAACP members but decorum prevents it. Let's just say that I took my girlfriend (later to become my wife) to a meeting...ONCE!
Hey! Even during your brief fling as a member of the 'RAT party, you did vote for Ronald Reagan both times didn't you? :)

Trump is no Romney. Their personalities are diametrically opposed, and Romney never came flat out and vociferously on conservative issues like Trump does. In yesterday's Iowa speech, Trump criticized Romney quite specifically, lamenting how he fell flat in the last weeks of his campaign, whereas Obama was on every other television show: Letterman, Tonight Show, Jon Stewart, etc. I get the sense that Trump watched closely looking for something to hope for, and was very frustrated, with Romney and the entire establishment.
Everything Trump has built could go up in smoke, especially from creeping socialism and/or sharia. He has made the bold decision to sacrifice a lot to address the issues. I am excited about hearing his point of view. He has already stimulated change in the right direction.
Let the purists gaze into their mirrors and their navels. They are too good for this world.
