Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in a blistering floor speech Friday accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky) of lying to him over a deal to vote on reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank.

Drudge had a story this morning about a couple Attorneys General asking for the server so Justice just shut them down.
Of course McConnell is lying!
He continues to have an R after his name when 90% of his actions indicate that he is a Democrat
Donald Trump
DONALD TRUMP
I heard Cruz on Rush.
He just declared war on Mitchy and Bonehead and the entire Gop Leadership.
Rush was shocked at his candor.
I am glad he is standing with Trump and not taking a prisoners approach.
very impressed
If he had one McConnell’s chin would be quivering.
Was he for it before he was against it?
Cmon, Trump doesn’t have nearly as much to lose as does Cruz by taking on the leadership of congress.
Cruz is a great guy and he is not a member of the Uniparty so we have to support him. Not necessarily for president but write him and tell him he is appreciated.
From Cruzs book......
On leadership corruption and sellout......
That Tuesday lunch began with our leadership saying, Were asking every Republican senator here, to affirmatively consent to lower the threshold for Harry Reid to take up the debt ceiling, from 60 votes to 50 votes. And we were told, everyone of you should agree for two reasons.
Number one, if we do this, it will happen, and hallelujah, hallelujah, thats what we want. We want trillions more in debt with no spending reforms, because were scared of this issue. We dont want to have a political fight on this.
But number two, if we do this, the Democrats will have the votes to do it on their own, which means all of us Republicans can vote no. And we can go home and tell our constituents, we opposed the thing we just consented to allow happen.
Now, I was sitting there to be honest, I hadnt gone to lunch intending to pick a fight, but as I listened to that, I was astonished and I raised my hand, and I said, Theres no universe in which I can consent to doing that. I spent two years campaigning across Texas, telling Texas, if you elect me, Ill fight with every breath in my body to stop the out of control spending and debt that are bankrupting our kids and grandkids.
If were to do that, I think it would be both dishonest and unfaithful to the men and women who elected me.
Think of this as Political Candidate Apprentice. Trump can take out the least worthy, as he sees fit, one at a time. The puppetmasters let Trump set the rules, now they’re stuck playing by them.
It would be a dysfunctional Senate if everyone acted as if everyone else was lying all of the time. A Senator 's promise was currency. The deals were "vote for my bill X today and I'll vote for your bill Y next month." If you reneg next month, nobody will trust you again and you won't get anymore bills passed.
Now everyone knows that McConnell is a dishonest negotiator, at least with fellow Republicans. He probably keeps all of his promises with Democrats.

Trump’s history has been all over the board. His public stand lately is encouraging but Cruz has been consistent.
“I like Cruz. He’s certainly smart and a speaker of excellence.....particularly on legal matters. He belongs first as the Attorney General under Walker “
The Chamber of Commerce/Karl Rove has spoken.
Good points, all!
Trump is getting all the press but that doesn’t mean he’s doing better than Cruz at exposing/fighting the GOPe
I love what Trump is doing, but Cruz is a Constitutional expert. Trump is clearly not.
Look, I like Cruz too, but come on. Be honest with yourself.
Cruz had to take McConnell to task, to rid HIMSELF of the blame for voting for this.
There is no excuse for voting for a support bill to a bill you say you don’t support. What one thing could McConnell tell him that would make it okay to vote for a support bill to make a bill he didn’t want possible?
If don’t want something, I don’t take one step to make that something more likely to take place.
All he needed to do was have a discussion with Jim Bunning.
bad analogy.......irrelevant. Pithy, but flawed.
