Monday on AM 970s The Joe Piscopo Show, pollster Frank Luntz suggested that since Republican presidential candidate and longtime Clinton friend Donald Trump refused to say he would endorse whoever got the Republican party nomination, it is a real possibility Trump is planning a third party run. This, as host Joe Piscopo pointed out, would allow Hillary to walk right in to the presidency and be an astonishing historical repeat, because Ross Perots third party candidacy is credited for President Bill Clintons victory over President George H.W. Bush in 1992.

The Republican party was subverted long ago. I will have no issues if Trump did this.
Enough!
This is Frank Luntz talking out his wazoo aperture.
Winning the Presidency wouldn't be Trump's objective. Getting Hillary elected would.
Luntz = Rove Jr. (not a compliment)
If Trump does this he'll be branded with selfishness on his back for his legacy.
He better understand that his legacy will be shit, and people will
piss on his grave. Anybody who wants to start a third party needs to
start with their own Brand, long before any POTUS election cycle begins.
Any other way like using GOP or Dem branding to launch would be suicide.
If Cruz or Trump don’t get the nomination then it will be a Democrat victory again, even if you want to run Jeb, Dole, Romney or McCain again.
like i said before, I was thinking Trump was a trojan horse in the first place. Love the guy, but I sensed a trap from the beginning.
If the Republicans didn’t spend so much time insulting their base, and governing to the left of the previous Democrat Congress, the threat of a third party candidate would be moot.
But I wouldn’t rule out Trump winning, or at least making a very strong showing if the candidates are Clinton, and Bush. I think voter turn out for those two will be at historic lows, and the protest vote could carry the day.

Nominating Jeb will result in losing anyway.
You’re probably right. And Luntz is probably full of it, but my thinking is that Cruz may see the Republican party as too corrupt/GOP-E and sees that Jeb is the chosen one among the elite party bosses.
Then plan on Hillary winning 35 states enroute to a blowout win on Election Day. That'll show us.
The Democrats are practically Maoists.
The GOP is mostly full of self-serving career politician whores who give lip-service to slowing the leftists’ march, but measuredly give ground in the name of bipartisanship.
We need a third party with a mix of the best conservative and libertarian ideas, but a Presidential election is not the time to introduce third parties. Any viable third party needs leaders, ideological infrastructure, and to build local and regional popularity. Jumping right into a presidential election dooms the third party, and the one it is seen as closest to. (e.g., John Anderson’s movement was bad for Dems, Perot’s party gave us Clinton).
The bigger dangers is a jbush running as a sore loser third party.
Thanks, that’s important information.
I'm right with you there, with one exception. I despise the guy.
Maybe that's the plan....?
Lawyers....(spit)
Which would mark the first time in the last three Presidental elections he would identify with the Republican Party.
2008 - registered Democrat
2012 - no political party
There is a better conservative choice.
ROFL that’s fine too. It didn’t surprise me the Trump bandwagon got jumped on by Freepers. Very easy crowd here. How many “conservatives” were fooled by and the list includes Rubio, Walker et al.
But I don't think Trump will run third party. Not out of any sense of decency, he just doesn't want to run. Plus, he may not be smart, but I don't think he's dumb enough to spend his own money on a campaign. He would have to raise a lot of money.
