Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he does not owe John McCain an apology for saying the Arizona senator is only a war hero “because he was captured.”
"He's a war hero because he was captured," Trump said of McCain Saturday while at a campaign event in Iowa. "I like people who weren't captured."
Before Trump's comments, McCain had referred to those who attended a campaign event for the real estate mogul as "crazies."

I am so well aware of McCain so much so that I would NEVER EVER put him in the same sentence as those who served our country honorably for so many torturous years in north viet nam prisons
As I have stated a multitude of times,
I have done more research on McCain and spoken with his office so much more than anyone attacking me on this bombardment of ignorance
If it is any hint of what it would be like under a trump presidency, this bombardment of emotional thoughtless baseless tactlessness is way too democrat underground republican underground mindless trump sheerness

McCain fractured both arms and a leg ejecting from the aircraft. As far as any torture, we don’t know for sure what happened. He helped squash any legislation that would allow records on the Vietnam War to be declassified.

It required the Department of Defense to publish the names and information on all unaccounted for POWs, MIAs, and KIAs in WW II, the Korean War, and Vietnam. It languished and was resurrected 2 years later. Then came the John McCain Bill, promptly enacted, that blocked such information. The DoD does not even have to acknowledge confirmed sightings of live Americans.”

Getting captured does not make you a hero. It makes you a POW. Anyone who surrenders to ISIS is as good as dead. Hero’s fight to the end and do not allow the enemy to have their knowledge. The original Iranian hostages were captured when we were allies of Iran. At our embassy. The current Iranian hostages were captured in time of war.

Patton said this in WWII. He was factually correct. I’ll imagine any one of those men agree with that statement more than anyone knows. Do they need trump or anyone rubbing it in? Being a vet myself, no airman, soldier or sailor should endure what McCain endured in captivity. That said, he made it out alive unlike many others. It seems that his short temper, senility and hate-filled rants towards anyone who challenges his feeble ability to reason only reinforce what many think: he’s a left wing tool of the Obama administration. End of story. Stay the course Donald! There are more of us out here than the low-information sources want the public to know.
