As if right on cue after Romney and Rubio, Bush on Saturday afternoon joined the coordinated parade of establishment Republicans attacking Trump.
I dont think he represents the Republican Party, and his views are way out of the mainstream of what Republicans think, Bush said Saturday afternoon in New Hampshire. No one suggests that we shouldnt control our borders everybody has a belief that we should control our borders. But to make these extraordinarily ugly kind of comments is not reflective of the Republican Party. Trump is wrong on this.
Trump has been harsh on Bush, Rubio and Romney. When Romney was flirting with a third run for the White House earlier this year, in an interview with Breitbart News and a news conference on his private jet in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Trump called Romney a failure.
I was right in 2012. I said we dont have a strong candidate, but we had Mitt Romney, Trump said. We went with Mitt Romney and he failed. He let us all down, to be honest with you. For him to be running again is outrageous.
He failed, Trump repeated. He should have won. [The Obama administration] is a failed presidency. [Obama] is a failed president, and [Romney] should have won, but he lost.

I have a bad feeling about trump, I do not trust him. For one thing his god is money, the root of all evil.
I do not think of anyone except Cruz as being up to the job. We are about to enter into a time as no other in history. Very hard times ahead, will require a very special indvidual, educated, christian, family man. Cruz.
I would not want Trump at the top of the ticket. I think he would be an asset for economic policy either as VP or in the Cabinet. Cruz is the only person I support for the top of the ticket.
Take it from me, when you are nearly 70 years old, and have accumulated more money than you can spend till you die, more money ceases to be an obsession. If you are rich and famous like Trump, you start thinking of your legacy more than adding another Billion or 2 to your wealth. I would not be surprised if Trump is feeling patriotic and wants to go from more business deals and more profits, to run for president and make changes which he feels are direly needed.
Ted Cruz 2016!
No. I’m quite direct.
You decided to construct a post out of the blue with no relationship to quotes I’d posted to highlight a comment made by another poster about Ross Perot.
You decided to make it about me and Cruz.
Your musings = pure fabrication.
I’d rather take a chance of Donald the Trump!
Yes. But he could be our jerk. Just what’s needed to irritate the hell out of the liberals, moderates and communists who currently run our government and our lives.
Now, I'd rather vote for Hillary than another Betrayer. I either get a conservative, or I'm going rogue.
The GOP is a lot like Hillary, you know. She puts up with being betrayed for her own reasons.
you are not going rogue or any thing spectacular
you are copping out by not voting for one of the twi nominated candidates
you are lazy and unable to make the mental effort to weigh the credentials of the candidate to determine which best serves the conservative effort
One is more conservative than the other and any Republican is more conservative than Hillary
btw...... Jesus Christ will never be one of the two
Agents of the cheap labor crowd pipe in.
And I'm not as lazy has his wife, or his sister-in-law Laura, or his mother Bar. They hire gangs of illegals to wait on them and take care of their families.
I'd rather the devil I know, than the betrayer who sneaks and cringes and condescends like the unctuous Jeb. I'd rather have Bernie Sanders than Jeb Bush.
Now, what do you think of the RINO candidates ganging up on Trump? Maybe they don't have enough courage individually.
Hi DO,
You arguments about the utility of Trump being the stalking horse for the nasty illegal population is good if this (or an item similar) is what Trump brings to the forefront in his campaign.
Trump, however, is a narcissist and as the weeks and months unfold, we will see him bring up attention-grabber after attention grabber. Once primaries begin, once nomination is in place or once a Trump in in office every week will be a new pot boiler showing what a neat thinker and maverick he is in his own mind.
First it was putting a unilateral executive tariff on Ford, remember.
While the utility of bringing up the illegal immigration elephant-in-the-room that no GOPe candidate will discuss is fun this week, we could have him introducing TrumpCare single payer next month. The guy is so focused on his own unique background as a deal maker he will say anything that pops into that head.
I have spent a lifetime in construction. I have dealt with giant developers like Trump for forty years. He is not going to be a different man running for President than he has been the last four decades and from what I know he was a chiseler, pocket-liner, all for one guy.
This week has been fun to watch the Roaches scuttle, but there will be many weeks ahead where the turd will still be in the punchbowl, IMHO.
Earlier today I was thinking about his situation.
The guy may be wroth 9 billion on paper, but he has to keep shuffling that paper.
Do you think he’d put his holdings in a blind trust for four or eight years?
I don’t think there’s a snowball’s chance in hell of that happening. He’d be ruined for lack of being able to shuffle in a timely manner. If he were nine billion liquid, okay. He isn’t.
As to your emphasis, I agree.
I don’t think we need to trash the guy. We know what he is. Every time we bash him, that is seen as someone bashing him for what he just said.
That would be very defeatist of us.
Let him ride it out. Let some other folks pick up where he left off once they see his popularity. Then let him fade away...
If it comes down to Hillary or Donald, who do you vote for?
I don't want to see Trump get elected, but I don't want the Democrats or a RINO that will give us none of what we want either.
I would not like to have to face that dilemma and until we see how Trump conducts himself over the next six months, it is tough to answer. If he doesn’t come up with a bunch of Perot or leftist clap-trap, I would vote for Trump in the Primary but my state Primary is late in the cycle.
Hillary or Donald is another nightmare as either actually serving will be a breach hull to the ship of state.
You and I think similar thoughts about Trump.
I wonder with guys like him, if we aren’t focusing too much on the negative.
Look at the guys we’ve had. They back Leftist legislation and want amnesty. They are all spending us into oblivion.
On Immigration, trade, and spending, Trump gets it. His business acumen might surprise us. He’s not above calling it like it is.
I view immigration to be our number one threat. I view trade to be number two. I view spending to be number three.
This guy at least recognizes these threats, and addresses them. And I actually believe he means it.
There’s no denying the down side potential, but if he fixes just two of the three top threats to the nation, or even one, he’ll have done more than some of our (supposedly) guys have done.
I am supporting Cruz. I detest that the media will take every Trump utterance and trumpet stories in response but that is what is going to happen. Trump will hopefully realize he can’t just utter the first thing on his mind without looking a fool and slow down his content without diluting it. If that happens, the quality of Cruz will shine through.
I currently support Cruz also, but I’m watching him. I’m not sold on him yet.
