I heard this "theory" from a friend, and decided to throw it out to Free Republic.
My friend (no proof) said that he believes Donald Trump is a Trojan Horse....
Trump's is only there to pull people away from the other campaigns of Cruz, Walker, Paul, etc.... in order to eliminate them.
Then once it's down to Trump and Bush in the Primaries, then he will step down.
Leaving us with Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton will easily defeat Jeb Bush, and she will be the next President.
Hopefully this nightmare scenario will never come to pass.
Thoughts, comments, or opinions?
Well said.
OK fine. He can run only the executive branch period meaning he won’t make many changes requiring politics. He might tighten border security but there won’t be a wall for example. He can’t do much about the budget which would require politics. Why give him the job? He won’t change much just be a good executive manager.
It's not that what he said isn't true or that I disagree with his position on the contrary stopping illegals is a primary issue for me. But having an obnoxious character like Trump with his high negatives makes it a terrible idea to allow him to be the poster boy for this cause. It allows his image to project onto the cause and tarnishing it imo. And the media will just use him to further demonize the cause, conflating this obnoxious jerk with everything anti-illegals. No good will come of it in the end,
Not at all, knarf. It would be a great contrast in philosophy, personal achievement, job creation, you-didn't-build-that, which will expand government, debt, outsider v inside the government, etc., etc.
Perot was hard to figure out but I should have realized since Ross Perot’s company computerized Medicare records in the 1960’s the payoff from the Clinton’s was computerization of Hillarycare records.
What’s the payoff for Trump may be a question to ask?
Two things I know. One, I don’t support Trump but Two I do support his freedom of speech which has been trampled on by the corporate elites in recent days.
What would be Trump’s motivation to participate is such a scheme?
Yes, they are trampling on his freedom of speech.
The more they do that, the higher he will rise.
Americans are tired of the thought police.
Americans are tired of getting a boot on the neck for standing for their country.
The average American can’t fight back like Trump can.
I don’t know if he’s sincere or just helping someone else.
He sure is taking financial hits over this though.
To be doing this and taking such financial hits what’s the payoff?
Wouldn’t it have to be huge to make up for the grief he’s gotten?
The average American who is feeling ripped off and raped by our so-called “representatives” in government may be feeling a bit more empowered through the voice of Donald Trump.
Is that the real reason that the elite are on a mission to destroy him and his message?
IMO, not only are they afraid of Trump, they are also very afraid of US!
That is why they are so desperate to divide and disarm US.
That’s just nonsense..
You will see....as this moves along that Trump may well take some votes from some republican candidates, he won’t be taking them from a conservative and that is just fine with me..
I’m a bit frustrated by it all, but real and meaningful resistance takes more than one angry man speaking bluntly and stirring up the hornets nest.
Peaceful non-violent resistance is a tough and tall order even with all the good intentions and spirit, it will probably lead to violence like the racial protests in the 1960’s.
Non-violent resistance must begin with the notion that the other side must be the first to use violence.
MLK calculated rightly that Bull Connor was crazy enough to use force against the civil rights protestors that would make Connor look bad and MLK and his protestors the victims of his violent tactics.
MLK deliberately picked Birmingham as a protest site in 1963 and he did it with only a few trusted aides knowing because MLK knew his movement was infiltrated with informants-spies.
Unfortunately, after the 1963 peaceful Birmingham protests violence erupted across the country.
I posted more thoughts along this line the other day.

“And the media will just use him to further demonize the cause.”
The media will pick apart and try to demonize anyone the conservatives put forward. The same things the media says about Trump are about the same things they ridiculed Sarah Palin for - stupid, ignorant, loose cannon, no experience, not vetted, etc.
What if they think this one man could actually get that ball to roll though?
It’s possible.
And they wouldn’t want that, now would they?
I like to believe a bit in teamwork.
We need an “army” so to speak and ‘an army is a team’ is General George S. Patton put it.
“We the People” is how the US Constitution says it.
I would put deep faith in my “Creator” as the Declaration of Independence states.
But turning human beings into ‘gods’ who will deliver from evil is a bit much for me.
One problem is my life among other things has been ‘having other gods instead of God’.
I and other like minded folks have to be willing to put things on the line like the folks did in 1776.
There was a commitment of ‘lives, fortunes and sacred honor’.
The problem with grassroots folks is evident in putting one person in (Reagan) or one party (Republican) into office and thinking it was over.
Bad things have been happening for decades and it only gets worse, that’s for sure.
Anger and rage plus an election campaign is not the end all and be all of resistance in these times, we need discipline and humility and if a million of us could enough of that to show up in one place and not be moved unless we were forcibly removed, things might begin to change.
Turning people into God’s?
Huh?
Where did that come from?
Its amazing how much mania can be stirred up for things like sports in this country.
Faith in people and political parties and so on.
I’m a drunk currently sober but with lots of experience living in fantasy and its time to live in reality.
Defying the “world order” like the elected government in Greece is doing can be pretty tough.
Trump left the GOP, he became a democrat in 2001 to 2009.
The party of Al Gore, and Hillary, and John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid, Ted Kennedy and Barack Obama, and tells us 2 weeks ago that his favorite president is Bill Clinton, and he has supported Hillary.
So what could his motivation be?
That's really funny. Could you imagine Trump as a VP?
Now imagine the President stupid enough to put him on the ticket.
I knew from the moment I saw you that you were an a-hole.
You are the biggest a-hole on this site.
