Turkey has sent shock waves through the Middle East by preparing plans to send troops into Syria for the first time, turning the civil war into an international conflict on Europes borders. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has authorised a change in the rules of engagement agreed by the Turkish parliament to allow the army to strike at Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil), as well as the Assad regime, according to local newspapers.
The aim is to establish a buffer zone for refugees and against Isil, but Mr Erdogan has also suggested that the main target of the intervention, if it goes ahead, will be to prevent the emergence of a Kurdish state on Turkeys doorstep.

That was my very first thought...according to some prophecy interpretations this is exactly what happens.
Everything is so upside down right now it is hard to keep track of the players. Although the Bible tells us exactly who they are, the alliances all seem unlikely, but it is all falling into place.
Russia, Iran, Turkey, Syria and ISIS. The only oddity is Putin’s disdain for islam, but the access to the spoils of war is a mighty motivation.
“I cant see any downside to DC being nuked.”
We’ll lose some historical stuff...that’s my only concern. The Declaration of Independence, etc.
In the Supreme Court building—they’re already trying to change the meaning of murals. Like with Moses holding the 10 commandments—the tour guides try to tell you that is the first 10 amendments to the Constitution (as if they even comply with that) instead of the 10 Commandments.
So when they “nuke” the real history—they’ll be free to come up with their own. “Constitution? What’s that? That’s just tin foil hat stuff. We never had a Constitution.”
I spent time in Izmit and Istanbul and I would have to agree.
I have been all over TU, and I have to agree also.

Yes it is against the Kurds and there are a couple of Americans fighting with them... There was a thread on the 26th about the US going into Syria:

And that same morning I read:
Turkey will never allow Kurdish state in Syria warns Erdogan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey will never allow the establishment of a Kurdish state in Syria after major gains by Kurdish fighters.
In a strong-worded warning late on Friday, Erdogan accused the Kurds of ethnically cleaning other communities from land they have taken after pushing back Islamic State forces from the Turkish border.
I say to the international community that whatever price must be paid, we will never allow the establishment of a new state on our southern frontier in the north of Syria, Erdogan was quoted by Turkish media as telling guests at a dinner to break the Ramadan fast.

So, this administration couldn’t get the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, so why not Syria? Lots of empty towns to populate with radicals. I better go back and re-read the OT and find out which nations survive. Damascus doesn’t. It’s obliterated.
if Turkey attacks Iraq from the rear will Greece help?
To deploy Jupiter missiles.
Category: NATO for $400
ISIS already did that for them as their paid surrogate.
I heard that joke on the radio yesterday. XD
B.S. They won’t touch ISIS.
Yep - Turks and Persians all over again with the Assyrians in the middle and the Arabs awaiting their opportunity.

Ever been to Karbala, Iraq? The smell is pungent. Following a visit the clothes are put outside and a shower and nasal purge are required -seriously. I would describe it as a close-up whiff of burning rotten garbage, raw sewage, burning crude oil and cow anus. Yeah, that’s it.
Turkey owned Syria for about 700 years. Maybe they still consider it theirs.
I believe Turkey is Sunni Muslim and Iran is Shi’ite. My guess is that Turkey would just as soon take back some of their empire disbanded in 1918 as let Iran have it. I’m also thinking that Turkey is a more formidable military machine than is Iran.

Either Ezekiel 38 or Isaiah 17, the sudden destruction of Damascus. When Assad falls, the question will be who gets control of his military, name his WMD’s? Syria has both chemical and biological warheads mounted on medium range missles. If Hezbollah or ISIS gets access to these weapons, they will not hesitate in firing them onto Tel Aviv or Hafia. They may even use Damascus as a human shield. But that will not deter Israel in retaliating with nuclear weapons.
Syria is to be watched closely this summer and how Israel reacts.
With all the hijinks have come from Inside The Beltway over the past dozen years or so, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that "The Declaration...etc" got fed to a shredder or just pitched into a nice big bonfire in the Rose Garden right after the '08 Inauguration parties wound down.
...if, that is, the Clintons didn't steal the originals along with the rest of the stuff they looted or just f***edup.
I agree. If anything they are bolstering ISIS.
Perhaps the 70 weeks of Daniel has been restarted.
It stopped when the anointed one was cut off ? Or when the 2nd temple was destoryed in 70AD ?
Some say that the conjuntion of Venus and Jupiter high in the western sky near the star Regulus hasn’t happened since Christ was born.
Perhaps ? The sign in the sky tonight is a restart of God’s prophetic clock of the 70 weeks of Daniel.
Or was Israel’s rebirth as a nation a restart of God’s prophetic clock of the 70 weeks of Daniel ?
Isiah 17 is being fulfilled right in front of us.
