Today marks what could be considered one of the most controversial days in the history of the United States of America. If you havent heard, the Supreme Court has decided that same-sex marriage is now a Constitutional right and that traditional marriage between one man and one woman is no longer the definition of marriage.
There is one state (and if you have read my articles before, you know which one Im talking about) that is already leading the way, in essence combating SCOTUS and their disastrous decision. Of course, Im talking about the Lone Star State.
In a directive issued in the last few hours, Texas Governor Gregg Abbott has informed all those agencies that they are to comply with the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, Article I of the Texas Constitution, and the Texas Religious Freedom Act. In other words, he just shut down same-sex marriage in Texas and ordered everyone to preserve the religious liberties and First Amendment rights of all Texans.
Read it here:
Texans of all faiths must be absolutely secure in the knowledge that their religious freedom is beyond the reach of government, Governor Abbott wrote in the memorandum obtained by Breitbart Texas. Renewing and reinforcing that promise is all the more important in light of the Supreme Courts decision in Obergefell v. Hodges. The government must never pressure a person to abandon or violate his or her sincerely held religious beliefs regarding a topic such as marriage. That sort of religious coercion will never be a compelling governmental interest, and it will never be the least restrictive means of furthering that interest.
With these obligations in mind, Abbott continued, I expect all agencies under my direction to prioritize compliance with the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, Article I of the Texas Constitution, and the Texas Religious Freedom Restoration Act. All state agency heads should ensure that no one acting on behalf of their agency takes any adverse action against any person, as defined in Chapter 311 of the Texas Government Code, on account of the persons act or refusal to act that is substantially motivated by sincere religious belief. This order applies to any agency decision, including but not limited to granting or denying benefits, managing agency employees, entering or enforcing agency contracts, licensing and permitting decisions, or enforcing state laws and regulations.

Texas is truly the leader in Conservative principles and continues to uphold the values held by so many Americans. They are on the forefront in combating Obama on nearly everything thing he does. God Bless Texas and the men and woman who fight for our freedoms everyday there.

They already knew the outcome. No way they could have had that done in the short amount of time they had. No way.
These pukes conspired.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is the one who will use the power of his office to protect religious freedom in regard to the Supreme Court decision on homo marriage. Here is his statement to the citizens of Texas:
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton: Following High Courts Flawed Ruling, Next Fight is Religious Liberty
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton today issued the following statement following the U.S. Supreme Courts flawed ruling on states constitutional right to define marriage, stating the next fight is religious liberty:
Todays ruling by five Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court marks a radical departure from countless generations of societal law and tradition. The impact of this opinion on our society and the familial fabric of our nation will be profound. Far from a victory for anyone, this is instead a dilution of marriage as a societal institution.
What is most disturbing is the extent to which this opinion is yet another assault on the actual text of the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law itself. Just as Roe v. Wade ripped from the hands of the American people the issue of life and placed it in the judge-made penumbras of the Constitution, so has this opinion made clear that our governing document the protector of our liberties through representative government can be molded to mean anything by unelected judges.
But no court, no law, no rule, and no words will change the simple truth that marriage is the union of one man and one woman. Nothing will change the importance of a mother and a father to the raising of a child. And nothing will change our collective resolve that all Americans should be able to exercise their faith in their daily lives without infringement and harassment.
We start by recognizing the primacy and importance of our first freedom religious liberty. The truth is that the debate over the issue of marriage has increasingly devolved into personal and economic aggression against people of faith who have sought to live their lives consistent with their sincerely-held religious beliefs about marriage. In numerous incidents trumpeted and celebrated by a sympathetic media, progressives advocating the anti-traditional marriage agenda have used this issue to publicly mock, deride, and intimidate devout individuals for daring to believe differently than they do. This ruling will likely only embolden those who seek to punish people who take personal, moral stands based upon their conscience and the teachings of their religion.
It is not acceptable that people of faith be exposed to such abuse. The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects our religious liberty and shields people of faith from such persecution, but those aspects of its protections have been denigrated by radicals, echoed by the media and an increasingly-activist judiciary. Consistent with existing federal and state Religious Freedom Restoration Acts that should already protect religious liberty and prevent discrimination based on religion, we must work to ensure that the guarantees of the First Amendment, protecting freedom of religion, and its corollary freedom of conscience, are secure for all Americans.
Our guiding principle should be to protect people who want to live, work and raise their families in accordance with their religious faith. We should ensure that people and businesses are not discriminated against by state and local governments based on a persons religious beliefs, including discrimination against people of faith in the distribution of grants, licenses, certification or accreditation; we should prevent harassing lawsuits against people of faith, their businesses and religious organizations; we should protect non-profits and churches from state and local taxes if the federal government penalizes them by removing their 501(c)(3) status; and we should protect religious adoption and foster care organizations and the children and families they serve. Shortly, my office will be addressing questions about the religious liberties of clerks of court and justices of the peace.
Displays of hate and intolerance against people of faith should be denounced by all people of good will and spark concern among anyone who believes in religious liberty and freedom for all.
Despite this decision, I still have faith in America and the American people. We must be vigilant about our freedom and must use the democratic process to make sure America lives up to its promise as a land of freedom, religious tolerance and hope.
When I saw those colors on the White House, I instantly became nauseous and turned away from the TV - couldn't stand to see that again. My anger at that evil was the worst feeling of anger I have had in years - it was that bad. That was physical evil for all to see.
The latest evil to be said by Obama is what he told an official in South Carolina yesterday - he plans to bring about, by law or executive order, however he can do it, a list of all members of organizations he considers to be hate groups. That report said all people should know who lives next to them in case that neighbor is on the list of a hate group. This is another evil intention by Obama to carry out.
I have posted that Free Republic would likely be on his list of hate groups. Any group that doesn't agree with his policies would be a hate group. I also think if a person is a member of a church, that church list of members would be a hate group.
I believe Satan is embodied in Obama due to the very fast way he is destroying the country every single day - another abomination against God and us every day.
“SCOTUS might as well have gone down to Arlington and danced on the graves of the brave men who fought and died for this country.”
They aren’t dancing on the graves, they are pissing on them.

Heard on KRLD radio yesterday afternoon:
Dallas & Tarrant started issuing licenses.
Denton and Collin haven’t; they don’t have the right forms.
I live in Denton County - read that link to Denton newspaper and glad they aren’t issuing licenses yet.
I already knew about the Chicago crap & Obama’s perverted proclivities. “Amen” to the rest of what you said. In addition to the Gadsden flag, an “Appeal to Heaven” flag would be good, too. There’s an hymn “Stand Up Stand Up for Jesus” .... the words are absolutely relevant today (changed my tag line, too) ...... ~Q
1. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
ye soldiers of the cross;
lift high his royal banner,
it must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory
his army shall he lead,
till every foe is vanquished,
and Christ is Lord indeed.
2. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
the trumpet call obey;
forth to the mighty conflict,
in this his glorious day.
Ye that are brave now serve him
against unnumbered foes;
let courage rise with danger,
and strength to strength oppose.
3. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
stand in his strength alone;
the arm of flesh will fail you,
ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the gospel armor,
each piece put on with prayer;
where duty calls or danger,
be never wanting there.
4. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
the strife will not be long;
this day the noise of battle,
the next the victor’s song.
To those who vanquish evil
a crown of life shall be;
they with the King of Glory
shall reign eternally.
also, people can get married in church and not even need a license from the state.
The Texas Statute prohibits Denton County from issuing same sex marriage licenses.
The decision of the Supreme Court was an unconstitutional declaration of war on the State of Texas.
Resistance to Tyrants is Obedience to God!
Of course it’s a sin based on a lie... but our side
Is defending the truth. We may have lost this battle, but we have a more fortified line of defense now. The darkside will not win that one.
Also, “Onward Christian Soldiers”. In fact, this song was the “adopted” song for our County Republican Party.
Several months ago I made it a practice to wear my Christian Cross necklace every day. I want any Obama Satan lover to see I “Stand Up for Jesus” and I'm a Christian Soldier.
Amen!
Exactly. Every Republican governor from Gov. Christie, Gov. Jindal, Gov. Walker down must follow this or else its all hot air.
from the Denton RC paper:
“....
Dianne Edmondson, Denton County Republican Party chairwoman, said Friday was a sad day for the nation, likening the decision to throwing away thousands of years of Gods law and civilized culture like garbage.
I agree with Justice [Antonin] Scalia who wrote his own dissent, in addition to Chief Justice [John] Roberts version, when he called attention to this courts threat to American democracy, Edmondson wrote in an email. He warns that the Court goes beyond its role as a neutral arbiter and that we have lost the right to govern ourselves. After all, only 11 states actually voted by the people or their elected officials to allow gay marriages and the other two dozen have had gay marriage forced upon them by judicial fiat.
She said she believed two of the justices, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elena Kagan, had performed gay marriages and, as such, should have recused themselves from the decision.
No neutrality was possible with those two justices, Edmondson wrote. What a shame that the highest court in our land doesnt have a code of judicial ethics as do all the other courts. ...”
NOTE THIS PART:
“...She said she believed two of the justices, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elena Kagan, had performed gay marriages and, as such, should have recused themselves from the decision. ...”
If a lower court judge had not recused themselves, they would have been removed from the bench.
Remaining calm in the face of tyranny is appeasement.
It is time to worked up!
and if those two liberal supreme court judges had recused themselves, the decision would have been 4-3 —against—.
I saw your post a while back about wearing a cross necklace - I wear one, too for the same reason you do. Those two hymns are among my favorites ......
