Today marks what could be considered one of the most controversial days in the history of the United States of America. If you havent heard, the Supreme Court has decided that same-sex marriage is now a Constitutional right and that traditional marriage between one man and one woman is no longer the definition of marriage.
There is one state (and if you have read my articles before, you know which one Im talking about) that is already leading the way, in essence combating SCOTUS and their disastrous decision. Of course, Im talking about the Lone Star State.
In a directive issued in the last few hours, Texas Governor Gregg Abbott has informed all those agencies that they are to comply with the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, Article I of the Texas Constitution, and the Texas Religious Freedom Act. In other words, he just shut down same-sex marriage in Texas and ordered everyone to preserve the religious liberties and First Amendment rights of all Texans.
Read it here:
Texans of all faiths must be absolutely secure in the knowledge that their religious freedom is beyond the reach of government, Governor Abbott wrote in the memorandum obtained by Breitbart Texas. Renewing and reinforcing that promise is all the more important in light of the Supreme Courts decision in Obergefell v. Hodges. The government must never pressure a person to abandon or violate his or her sincerely held religious beliefs regarding a topic such as marriage. That sort of religious coercion will never be a compelling governmental interest, and it will never be the least restrictive means of furthering that interest.
With these obligations in mind, Abbott continued, I expect all agencies under my direction to prioritize compliance with the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, Article I of the Texas Constitution, and the Texas Religious Freedom Restoration Act. All state agency heads should ensure that no one acting on behalf of their agency takes any adverse action against any person, as defined in Chapter 311 of the Texas Government Code, on account of the persons act or refusal to act that is substantially motivated by sincere religious belief. This order applies to any agency decision, including but not limited to granting or denying benefits, managing agency employees, entering or enforcing agency contracts, licensing and permitting decisions, or enforcing state laws and regulations.

Texas is truly the leader in Conservative principles and continues to uphold the values held by so many Americans. They are on the forefront in combating Obama on nearly everything thing he does. God Bless Texas and the men and woman who fight for our freedoms everyday there.

Here is a fun fact about Texas. Did you know that the GDP for Texas is roughly $1.602 Trillion? That’s more than that of Australia, and just slightly less than that of Canada.
God Bess Texas!
God Bess Texas!
God Bess Texas!
Interesting. Did you know that the GDP of Louisiana is $257 bil, in between that of Finland and Egypt? Perhaps President Jindal and President Abbott could come to a mutually beneficial accomodation?
To me, it was an “f-you” to a good portion of America by the occupant of The People’s House. It was a slur against the historical ‘White’ House. By celebrating his “sodomization” of the country via SCOTUS, it was spitting in the face of God and the religious underpinnings of this nation. He might as well have burned down the White House a second time (British did it in 1814) for the effect it had on me (and a lot of people I know). It was juvenile, nasty, disrespectful, disgraceful, and sinful .... a perfect reflection of the Obamination himself. He described the ruling as a “thunderbolt of justice”. Well, news flash to you Obama, servant of Satan .... you’ll be riding that thunderbolt straight to Hell and a lot of poor souls in this country will be going with you.
(Yes, I’m a little upset).

Change “marriage” to “Holy matrimony” and you just shut down the left’s talking points for good. You also saved the first amendment and the church’s tax exemptions.
Why do we continue to play checkers while the libs play chess? All this is is a game of words and semantics. If gays want to enter into civil unions and decimate their political base, let them. Frankly, the left didn’t make this about gay marriage. They made it about the word “marriage” and because of that got us bent out of shape.
The way we beat this is simple. Starting today, the rainbow flag is discriminatory. It is offensive and as a straight, white male, Christian male engaged in holy matrimony, I find this flag to be threatening to me.
Do this for a few months and the flag will go away because the left hate when you do to them what they do to us.
More to the point, what we’re debating is who can and who cannot pay a tax to caesarr for a license. Individual states are not even required to issue licenses, and churches are free to refuse to solemnize the licenses as they see fit
To paraphrase an old quote...."How many divisions does the Supreme Court have?"
HAH!
Leni
Denton County Texas was refusing to issue licenses yesterday. Likely, that won’t last.
This article, yes, is about religious liberties. It will get sticky for people most everywhere.

No licenses for anybody is the correct route to go. If the SCOTUS ruling is legitimate (of course it is not because it is not constitutional) then there is no statutory basis for issuing a marriage license to anyone at all.
THE SCOTUS IS NOT THE FINAL WORD ON THE CONSTITUTION.
WE THE PEOPLE ARE!!!
SPEAK UP!!
Did that really happen? You have got to be kidding me.
And sin is sin, no matter how they try to re-label it.
Marriage is a covenant relationship between one man and one woman created by the Lord.
Anything else is a lie.
Texas is looking better and better everyday, I may have to change my tagline soon.
I just finished watching Band of Brothers...again :).
SCOTUS might as well have gone down to Arlington and danced on the graves of the brave men who fought and died for this country.
