Americans trust their doctors, so the White House wants these medical professionals to be a mouthpiece for President Obama’s global warming agenda.
“We also need doctors, nurses and citizens, like all of you”President Obama said in a taped speech presented to medical professionals gathered at the White House, “to get to work to raise awareness and organize folks for real change.”
The Obama administration has been hard at work trying to draw a link between global warming and public health issues. The summit included the U.S. Surgeon General, top administration officials, and public health experts from around the country telling doctors, nurses and other conference goers how to talk about global warming with their patients.
The central message: doctors should warn their patients that global warming could make their health worse.
“I know we have people all around the country, in all of the regions, who are also listening to this conversation, and like all of you in the room, I hope will go out and continue to talk and educate,” echoed Nicole Lurie, assistant secretary for Preparedness and Response at the Health Department.
“We need to engage medical students themselves,” said Vice Admiral Vivek Murthy, the U.S. Surgeon General, “to demand the curriculum change” to prepare them for a warmer future.

What this is really about is the Leftist idea of getting everyone to look up to authority figures, and then either indoctrinating or coercing those authority figures to spout the party line. Whether it’s reading “Heather has two Mommies” to kindergarteners, or getting a doctor to do a “firearms risk assessment”, or global warming promotion, the general thrust is to program the individual along favored lines of belief and behavior.
When doctors return to warning people that it’s dangerous to stick FOD up their buttholes I’ll listen.

My favorite old time doctor wouldn’t charge anything if you told him where turkeys were roosting. I had free service for years, just had to keep track of a few turkeys.

Had to do a visit to my orthopod yesterday. Hadn’t been in four years and the changes in documentation and forms are mind boggling. Among other things they wanted to take my picture for my medical records. Told them absolutely not. They already have a picture of my driver’s license which includes a picture ID. Just pages and pages of medical history information to complete. Took me about 2 minutes. Said I was adopted so have no family history. Under other issues wrote a huge note to refer to previous information.
Doc is wonderful. Actually spends a lot of time with patients, asks and answers lots of questions, no computer in the examining room anywhere and he proudly states that he won’t ever be caught using one. But then he also says if they push too much he’ll just retire!

I think so. The delivery system changed and the price shot up.
LOL! Mine blocks a lot of them but a couple of the sites are almost not usable so I wanted to do folks a favor and not subject them to the pop ups. :>}

If my family’s doctors talks about global warming, I would tell him that my kids flu is NOT caused by global warming or any other liberal bs they want us to believe!
Yes the propellant in the old inhalers wasn't "environmentally friendly" so they banned the use.
Of course it cost many people their LIVES, as the replacements are not nearly as efficient. And they cost a lot more.
But that's a small price to pay so that liberals can feel good about themselves.
