A new poll shows GOP voters are no closer to picking a front-runner from among a crowded and growing Republican presidential field, with retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson emerging with a narrow lead over 15 potential rivals.
Carson topped the 2016 field with 11% support from Republican and Republican-leaning voters, according to a national Monmouth University poll released Monday. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker was a close second with 10%, followed by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who were tied at 9%.
The biggest winner of all, however, was a blank: Twenty percent of surveyed voters said they were undecided.

Ben Carson, even if he were drunk or stoned, would be a better choice than Jeb Bush sober.
So what is it again that makes him the guy to be leader of the free world?
A know he’s a brilliant surgeon, but I dont see political acumen in him or a deep desire to protect 2nd amendment fully.
And when he said prisoners go in straight and come out gay, well, just wow.
I have no idea.
LOL kinda hard to argue with that.
Any poll with Ben Carson in the lead is either fixed or manipulated...or both...
Great guy...should be Surgeon General in either the Walker or Cruz administration...
Nobody is paying any attention, the we polls mean nothing
White guilt. Nothing more.
The same white guilt that elected Obama.
He is 63, retired from being a doctor in 2013, and now he for some reason, wants to be President of the United States?
He joined the Republican Party on November 4, 2014, the day the 2014 midterms took place, as “truly a pragmatic move” because he was considering running for president in 2016. In his book America the Beautiful, he explained his decision to enter politics: “I believe it is a very good idea for physicians, scientists, engineers, and others trained to make decisions based on facts and empirical data to get involved in the political arena”.
A not ready for prime time player IMO.
He wouldn’t be my choice but I’d take him over a Bush or Clinton.

A man is none the less a slave because he is allowed to choose a new master once in a term of years. Neither are a people any the less slaves because permitted periodically to choose new masters. What makes them slaves is the fact that they now are, and are always hereafter to be, in the hands of men whose power over them is, and always is to be, absolute and irresponsible." ― Lysander Spooner
He has about 2 years less experience then Cruz. It’s not like we have a huge group of experienced candidates this round.
Only way I can explain it is that he’s saved actual lives.
The rest of these guys are politicians. Hard to point to any actual contributions to humanity made by any of them.
As much as we can all admire Dr. Carson, he it not the man for this job IMHO.
“So what is it again that makes him the guy to be leader of the free world?”
Good question. I believe that he loves this Country which, at the very least, makes him more qualified than Obama.
You can’t be serious, you think that Cruz has been like a lifelong doctor, and then just got some government/political experience when he became a Senator?
Do you know his extraordinary bio?
The primaries and caucuses are going to be a bloodbath. It takes so much money to mount a national campaign in the 21st century, THAT will be the real deciding factor in who eventually gets the nomination.
Obama’s campaign finance reports prepared for the Federal Election Commission showed $744,985,625 raised for the 2008 campaign and $715,677,692 raised for 2012.
That’s alot of dough.
