Paris As the June 30 deadline approaches for a final nuclear deal between world powers and Iran, Iranians from all over the world overcrowded Villepinte Hall on Saturday June 13. They were Iranians from all walks of life with different tendencies, gathered in an annual meeting staged by National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). The crowd wore Blue- colored shirts and stayed applauding the speakers for hours, featuring burning desire for freedom and democracy and demonstrating their desperate to topple the ayatollahs in Iran.
Hundreds of figures and MPs from the US, Europe, Canada, Australia and the Middle East with diverse inclinations took part in the great gathering to add their voice to the voice of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of Iranian resistance. The event was held at a time when less than three weeks remaining to the June 30 deadline for final agreement over Irans controversial nuclear program and at a time when the Islamic fundamentalism, highlighted by ISIS, has drew the worlds attention; two main issues the U.S. and its allies so desperately seek to overcome.
The event addressed Irans ambitions to acquire nuclear bomb and the nuclear talks ahead between Iran and six world powers. It also addressed the devastating role of Iran in the region as the source of creation of the barbaric brand of Islam. The decline of human rights, especially the major wave of executions across the country and security of Iranian refugees in Camp Liberty, Iraq, were also discussed. Mrs. Rajavi, known as the worst enemy of ruling regime in Iran, criticized the weak U.S. policy towards Iran saying, Unfortunately, western governments, the United States in particular, violated UN Security Council resolutions and offered major concessions, propelling the regime closer to the Bomb. She declared, If you do not want a nuclear-armed fundamentalist regime, stop appeasing it. Do not bargain over the human rights of the Iranian people and recognize their organized Resistance which is striving for freedom.
A heavy bipartisan delegation from the U.S. delivered speeches in a joint effort to promote democracy in Iran. Senator John McCain gave a recorded speech to the audience. You cause is our cause and your fight is our fight. The Chairman of the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee stressed. Today we live in a world of crisis across the Middle East; Iran is setting fire to sectarian tensions in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and beyond. Killing thousands and driving millions from their homes, the Iranian regime, the true epicenter of radical Islamic extremism in the world continues to fund terror and incite chaos in its campaign for domination.
We in the U.S. Congress will not be satisfied with negotiations that leave in power brutal corrupt tyrants who hold power because of their hold on aggressive and fanatical beliefs, said Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Europe, Eurasia and Emerging Threats. We will not back away from your cause.
Arab delegations from Syria, Palestine, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Yemen had also took part in the gathering in solidarity with Mrs. Rajavi and her Ten point platform for future Iran, praising the sacrifices her movement, Peoples Mujahedeen of Iran (PMOI) has offered.
“The crowd wore Blue- colored shirts “
What happened to yellow?
“Mrs. Rajavi, known as the worst enemy of ruling regime in Iran”
Also known as traitor & enemy to Iranian people and leader of the cult. BTW - anybody seen Massoud lately?
An Iranian crowd eager for democracy in Iran
Gathering in another country will do absolutely nothing.
If they want change in Iran, they will have to back to Iran and change it.
[and 85-90% of the world's Muslims are Sunni, IOW, Shiites kill twice as many per capita]
