SAN FRANCISCO Last week we were stunned to learn that chaos has been the norm in the St. Paul, Minnesota school district, due to a student disciplinary policy that replaces suspensions with time-outs, counseling and other less punitive measures.
We also learned that the controversial policy was influenced by the Pacific Educational Group (PEG), a radical San Francisco-based consulting firm that claims black students lag behind academically, and tend to have more disciplinary problems, because American K-12 education is designed to benefit white students aka white privilege.
Now its becoming obvious that several other large school districts around the nation are in the same situation as St. Paul.
Theyve all instituted radical disciplinary policies to reduce the number of black student suspensions, theyve all experienced serious behavioral problems as a result, and theyre all included on a recent list of PEG client school districts. The Post story quoted an L.A. teacher as saying, I was terrified and bullied by a fourth grade student. The black student told me to Back off bh, I told him to go to the office and he said, No, bh and nobody can make me.
Sperry wrote about Allen Zolman, a former middle school teacher in the Philadelphia school district, who testified in front of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights about the pratfalls of overly forgiving disciplinary policies.
Im going to torture you, Zolman claims one student told him. Im doing this because I cant be removed.
The less we are willing or able to respond, the more they will control the classroom, the hallways and the school, Zolman was quoted as saying.
“How did you handle the situation?”
This was their first year in an integrated class. I told them that they would get the grade they earned and if they didn’t like the “F” they could have their mother take it up with the principal.
I told them that as long as they tried I would help them and they could pass the course and maybe even learn something.
They didn’t want to push it that far. Now it seems that they enjoy pushing the limit.
Yes. Soften up the Whites before you take their stuff and then kill them.
Insult leads to injury.
The best solution is removal of disruptive/violent students. Maybe segregation.
“I say, flee the government indoctrination systems. Getting NO formal education is better than what these dens of perversion teach.”
Amen
And I have PhD in Education Administration
had me going for a while, lol
The problem with your suggestion is that unionized paycheck leeches can’t be trusted with the proper application of corporal punishment (good teachers before you flame me think of how many co-workers fit that description). Many Principals/teachers out there will administer it with your child’s best interests in mind but there are also plenty who will administer it for petty reasons or in a vicious manner.
Yeah. Exactly what did they expect would happen?
Great way to prepare students for the workplace. I’m sure if/when they get jobs, their bosses will tolerate being told “back off b****” !!
They’re being prepped for prison.
I see dead people.
More grist for the List.
Things can go on this way and worse. I see it daily.
Duh! Who would of thought that would happen
School to prison pipeline.
I see third graders who will never have a year outside school or prison in their lives.
No fathers, I’ll wager.
“””””You most certainly can. Just stick his head underwater, lift his tail and suck hard””””
Doing this will just get you a bunch of brown um mud.
I had a Larry Elder-type colleague who would tell parents: “He’s got one foot in the grave and one foot in the penitentiary”
And, these were 6th graders - He could say it, I couldn’t - I would have lost my job...
Would that be classified as a catch 22?
Holder’s ruling that schools that have disparate punishment numbers for black and white students are trying to cook the books by sending blacks to counseling. They will come down on any white student severely for minor infractions to gain parity.
These school people do not want to be sued by the federal government for racism. it is a career-killer.
Another issue given to us by the current administration meant to cause chaos and anger. Hussein’s plan to start race war is about dripping toxicity on the population.
