Vice President President Joe Biden announced the passing of his son, Beau Biden, in a statement released by the White House.
"It is with broken hearts that Hallie, Hunter, Ashley, Jill and I announce the passing of our husband, brother and son, Beau, after he battled brain cancer with the same integrity, courage and strength he demonstrated every day of his life," reads the statement from Vice President Biden.
"The entire Biden family is saddened beyond words. We know that Beau’s spirit will live on in all of us—especially through his brave wife, Hallie, and two remarkable children, Natalie and Hunter.

Biden has a bad history with regards to family losses.

I tell my gown children that when I see them or talk with them on the phone. I don’t want it to be left unsaid.

Some think it is corny but it is very important to me. Since my daughter’s birthday in June 2, I am feeling very sad. She was a very talented clarinet player and played them all including the contra bass clarinet. We really miss all of them. : (.

I pray for people serving today, and am so thankful for their service. They have no choice as to who “the current administration” is. A military career may be something they’ve always dreamed of....long before 2008.

Holy crap. Horrible. Well the Vice President has been through the ringer in his life. How dang awful. I especially think it is horrible that some threads were really nasty about Beau just a week ago when it was announced he was in the hospital. I hope those of you who were despicable will remember not to judge things before more is known.
Prayers to the Biden family. No parent should ever have to bury their child and he has had to twice. Just awful.

I know, because I've gone through it; but sometimes The Lord has something to say about the future. From the local standpoint, Beau was the child of his father, and his record was as an LGBT advocate. Joe will be having some thoughts, I'm sure.
Even an old fool like Biden should outlive his children.
Regardless of any political difference I or we may have with the Vice President; losing a child is one of the most hurtful thing anyone can go through and we must support him in this time of pain and anguish.
These people, serving by choice under the current administration - as well as their families can go to the devil as far as I’m concerned.
My God. You despise the military that much? You sick creature. Seriously I retired with President Obama so his name is all over my paperwork. Who cares. The man’s son just died and you are bashing him for serving the country. You best pray that paybacks don’t come around and take one of your kids.
Beau was a major in the Delaware National Guard, an Iraq War veteran, and was awarded the Bronze Star.
God rest his soul.
