The Environmental Protection Agency on Friday released a much-delayed proposal for the amount of biofuel that must be blended into conventional vehicle fuel. The proposal, which would become final by the end of November, would set levels for last year at what producers actually made but increase the total volume of renewable fuel required by 1.5 billion gallons, roughly 9 percent, by the end of 2016. That would bring the volume to 17.4 billion gallons[.]

The greed crazed corn farmers and fertilizer companies are in cahoots with the EPA here. Everyone who services farmers such as farm equipment dealers want more and ethanol shoved down our throats even with the low oil prices
Get ready for E15.
What?!?!?!?!?! You mean farmers are greedy bloodsuckers, too? I always thought they were pure, and righteous, and deserving, and did what they do for the Greater Good only, and therefore immune from ANY criticism...
Like schoolteachers...

Ethanol bad
Butanol good
If ethanol production weren't subsidized, it would quickly evaporate.
Not exactly.
They give the expended mash to livestock. They claim it is a better feed than the raw corn.
Control the food supply = Control the people.
Fight Global Warming by removing the EPA and EnvironMENTALists
could you tell why all meat prices are increasing, please ...
=Control population...Everything we see being promoted by the Globalists/Progressives is aimed at that goal...With FUBO now at the wheel and his foot on the gas...
I noticed they DID increase, and have come down somewhat. I attributed the increase to high fuel costs, as most of ours comes from either the Midwest or south of here. I was not impressed when food prices in general did not go back down as much, with the lower fuel costs.
I think that question needs to be addressed to the supermarkets, and the public needs to demand lower food prices (maybe some picketing). But I doubt the grocer will give you the real answer as to why they are charging more.
The real answer is: "Because we can."
Ethanol production by fermentation has a huge carbon footprint. I’ve done a bit of home brewing and a gallon of beer produces at least a couple of cubic feet of carbon dioxide during fermentation.
Then there’s an additional small fermentation in the bottle to carbonate it.
If the EPA really wanted to reduce they’d ban the production of fermented adult beverages.
See how long the EPA lasts after that... ;^}
Exactly what Stalin did to kill off tens of millions of people. Collectivization of farms....which literally killed millions.
Private property is necessary for Freedom-—and Virtue is essential for Freedom. Our schools are intentionally destroying Virtue in children (the Prussian group think factories as JS Mill stated all State controlled “education” systems would) and we have the Leviathan (State) dictating what people can and can not do with their private property.
Amerika is not following our Constitution and Bill of Rights at all. It is Stalin’s Constitution which is being implemented and promoted by our elected representatives.
Nixon created the EPA by executive order based on the 1969 National Environmental Policy Act.
The old "whatever the market will bear"...trick.
agree ... and since the profit margin is normally below two percent for all merchandise in a grocery store because of generated losses from perishable departments because normally perishables are of greater expense which in the new economy is not necessarily the rule as was in the past to offset losses. Think perhaps someone I was speaking with recently whom I’d done business with said it best ... Is too bad everyone is looking to rob everyone these days. Is costly for all of us ... (sigh)
