We’re trying to get RID of YOU GALLUP!
I abandoned the Republican party years ago.
Yeah that really helped us in the last Presidential election.
This is exactly what McConnell and Boehner believe. Gallup doesn’t need to convince them. They (and the gOpE) abandoned the base long ago.
No kidding. And if you want to see how happy people are to live in a complete moral cesspool, check out your local ghetto. Just don't buy gas there at night.
The republican base is leftist Rush. Thats the reality today. Look at the leftists they fought to empower. Romney, Bhoner, Mitch...all hard left.
The few of us that stand on principle and conservatism are and have been attacked mercilessly for some time now by republican leftists for not embracing ‘lesser evil’.
Just how much happier are people?....Just look at the the two traitors in the picture. Do they look happy? They are in CHARGE!!! Of what, I have no idea.
Just yesterday I was comparing the downfall of Rome and the downfall of the USA.
“Just yesterday I was comparing the downfall of Rome and the downfall of the USA.”
Well, we have better booze, so there is that.
There are a lot of similarities.
Unfortunately.
Very few people are gonna change their vote because of they suddenly decided they are for faggot marriage because the media told them to be. The economy, Obamacare, national security, all more important to voters. Anyone who loves queers that much was probably already voting D no matter what.
Rand Paul On Shutdown: "Even Though It Appeared I Was Participating In It, It Was A Dumb Idea"I said throughout the whole battle that shutting down the government was a dumb idea. Even though it did appear as if I was participating in it, I said it was a dumb idea. And the reason I voted for it, though, is that it's a conundrum. Here's the conundrum. We have a $17 trillion debt and people at home tell me you can't give the president a blank check. We just can't keep raising the debt ceiling without conditions. So unconditionally raising the debt ceiling, nobody at home wants me to vote for that and I can't vote for that. But the conundrum is if I don't we do approach these deadlines. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester. If we were to extend the sequester from discretionary spending to all the entitlements we would actually fix our problem within a few years.[Posted on 11/19/2013 12:16:51 PM by Third Person]
Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.[Posted on 01/31/2013 5:08:50 PM PST by xzins]
Rand Paul's immigration speech...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.[Posted on 03/19/2013 7:04:07 AM PDT by Perdogg]
Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reformLatinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...[Posted on 04/21/2013 1:52:42 PM PDT by SoConPubbie]
[but he's not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]
Rand Slams Congress for Funding Egypt's Generals: 'How Does Your Conscience Feel Now?'Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt's military -- even as Cairo's security forces massacre anti-government activists. Me too!
There's a grain of truth here somewhere, but don't miss the rest of the field of grain. The base kicked butt in 2010 and 2014. Was it because it's Leftist? Most of the candidates for the GOP nomination are social conservatives. In most ways, except for Carly, all of them are. Are they Leftist?
Here's the grain: People are conservative, especially in the GOP. They are more conservative than they are radical or idea-driven. Too literally conservative to trust an idea standing by itself on its own logic, without a lot of reassuring voices and influences around it. They are not the kind to jump on a bandwagon until it's become respectable. It's frustrating for people like us, but as we well know, we are radicalspeople who focus on the radix or root, of things, and are content to let everything and everyone else catch up.
The kind of literal conservatism I'm describing can be annoying, but it is sane. Most wild-haired people lead men into danger or terrible deeds, like John Brown. That is why it is important and honorable for men like us to carefully demonstrate how life goes on better than before after our "extreme" ideas are applied.
Sane is not voting for open liberals and liberals that literally tell you in national media prior to an election that if in fact given power, they will ‘WORK WITH” Obama, the least sane leader in perhaps 500 years.
If you feel any part of that is sane, please explain which.
Hey Gallup! Tell us again how fewer & fewer Americans own guns and how a supermajority of the population now supports faggie “marriage” and thinks that we’re not paying enough in taxes!
Preach it from the rooftops!
People saner than you or I take more time to come to their conclusions. As opposed to the 4 minutes it took you to fire back at me. I don't feel any part of electing Boehner or turtle-neck was good. It was, shall we say, micro-insanity. But regg-ler folks sense that a shift in governance takes time, or it is a worse disaster than the previous attempt.
Persist, persist, persist. Think people are too liberal? Reach them, connect the dots for the, reassure them, paint the bigger picture. For decades. That's our job. "People" aren't liberal. They need to know they're not jumping onto a horse that's crazy. Reagan's smile gave them confidence. His intellect and leadership instinct gave them results.
