Robert Chardon, mayor of the French town of Venelles, has allegedly been forced into a mental institution for tweeting, “We must ban the Muslim faith in France.”
This revelation came to us via the Agence France-Presse, a highly regarded news entity that claimed Chardon was involuntarily hospitalized last Friday.
Chardon also tweeted that France should revoke a centuries-old secularism law and instead “promote the practice of the Christian faith.”
All this rhetoric reportedly angered Nicolas Sarkozy, leader of the Union for a Popular Movement, the same party to which Chardon belongs.
“I condemn this proposal even if secularism also means fixing limits,” Sarkozy tweeted in response to Chardon’s tweet. “Rights and limits go together.”
We know Chardon has been hospitalized. What remains in doubt is the precise reason why.
The AFP claimed that the hospitalization was requested by a close associate who said Chardon was making “incoherent statements.”
But officials who spoke to the Gates of Vienna made the allegation that Chardon was hospitalized as per “his precarious health situation” — and that “no legal procedure was undertaken for forcible confinement in a psychiatric facility.”
According to The New American, Chardon suffers from mouth cancer and has in fact been receiving treatment for it for a number of months. What’s odd is that he would suddenly decide to place himself into a mental institution for what is a physical condition.
Given these weird discrepancies, many people believe is that Chardon was involuntarily hospitalized — as has been stated by AFP — because of the politically incorrect statements he made about Islam.
He has, in effect, been hospitalized for Islamophobia, many allege.
Frankly, this theory fits very well given what we know about France. For instance, former French film star Brigitte Bardot has been put on trial five times for insulting Muslims and purportedly “inciting racial hatred.”
It appears that in France, it is slowly but surely becoming a crime to question Islam.
Hopefully this will never occur here, where the right to free speech is foundational to American freedom.

This was is spiritual at it’s core. That he promoted Christianity and is now in jail speaks volumes about Europe’s future.
So is France going to want us to bail them out again?

He is not an islamophobe, those are the ones who appear to be islamophiles only because they fear the truth. This man is instead an islamorealist. Islamoreal, islamotrue fear only the lies, not the truth.
He will come out looking like “McMurphy”, the Jack Nicholson character in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST.
I’m almost convinced that Islam is the anti Christ. There’s no doubt he’s here and calling the shots whoever he is.
